This game is a lot like another of my favorite fantasy games...u know the game WIZORDUM. ARKOS is so cool I even decided to purchase ARKOS II with 1. I love this genre of games...keep em comin 👻 👽
95% of the game is boring as hell. The other 5% feels like a second developer desperately trying to inject something interesting into the game, but the rest is too boring to let it stick. Did you know there's like 4 enemy types? And one of them only appears in the final world? Also there's only one ammo type. ♥♥♥♥'s THAT boring.
It's very simple and fun. The voxels are enjoyable, even when chaotic and the art is great. Boss battles were especially cool. Music is excellent! It's worth playing. The game however could be more interesting with more dynamic enemies akin to the shield knights and the wizards with meteors. Also the guns could have some variety or extra abilities (bouncing projectiles, fire effects/damage over time) just to spice things up. I kept expecting the teleporting weapon to play a major role in combat, but it just never did. Hoping the sequel adds a bit more spice to it, but I recommend playing this. I had a real blast bingeing this game and just turning my brain off.

Just play Wizordum instead.
All around good game until you get to the last episode then it falls apart. It may of bugged but I had to use the weakest weapon for the final ep and I died to the last boss but I'm not wasting my time trying to beat it like that as 30 minutes fights are no fun. Hopefully the second game fixes this.
Bland gameplay and repetitive environments with distracting particle effects make this a pretty lackluster experience

Nice Voxel graphics, weapons feel good but beware that soft locks may happen
good
Great game. There are 7 different worlds, and even within worlds, all levels do something different. The game is simple, but it will surprise you. The voxel graphics are beautiful and run great on an old laptop.
