Wasn't sure what to expect going in, but this game surprised me. It’s not just another roguelike it actually makes you slow down and think. The pacing is more methodical, and I ended up liking that a lot more than I thought I would. You’re not rushing through levels, you’re planning your steps, watching your resources, deciding if it’s worth pushing deeper or heading back to camp. That tension is great. One thing I appreciated was how unforgiving it can be, in a good way. You’re managing a small squad, and every battle feels like it matters. If you mess up, you’re paying for it. I lost one of my best units halfway through a dungeon because I got cocky—and that hit hard. The vibe is also spot-on. It’s bleak, but not in a way that feels forced. The lore is sprinkled in just enough to keep you interested without dumping walls of text. I kept finding these weird relics and bits of story that made me want to know more about the world, even if it’s all really cryptic. The UI could be smoother, and I wish the inventory wasn’t such a constant juggling act but it does make you prioritize what’s actually useful. You can't carry everything, and that adds to the survival feel. Overall, it’s one of those games that doesn’t hold your hand, but that’s exactly what makes it rewarding. If you’re into dark strategy games that respect your time and intelligence, this one’s definitely worth a shot.
Arhaekon's dark atmosphere and mysterious world drew me in. Battles require strategy and attention, which made each encounter more exciting and enjoyable. It was great to build a team, develop them, and gain power through rituals as I progressed through the map. Each playthrough unfolds differently, which made exploration even more enjoyable for me. The small details in the story and the ambient music also added a nice depth to the game.Overall, I can say that I enjoyed playing the game. Even though I don't play this type of game very often, it gave me a good gaming experience.
Arhaekon completely drew me in with its dark atmosphere and relentless tactical depth. The turn-based combat feels weighty and rewarding, with every decision carrying real consequences. I loved how the synergy between units creates endless possibilities for smart plays. Visually, the game has a gritty, focused style that fits the world perfectly. The UI is clean, responsive, and makes navigating everything smooth and intuitive. Exploring each dungeon feels tense and meaningful, with a strong sense of progression. If you're into serious, no-handholding RPGs that challenge you from start to finish, this one delivers.
Arhaekon offers a rich and engaging strategy experience that stands out on Steam. The game combines deep tactical gameplay with stunning visuals and an intriguing storyline. A must-play for strategy enthusiasts, delivering a satisfying blend of tactical complexity and immersive storytelling.
The game may seem too simple at first glance, but it is not! The character class system, various skills, many dungeons and more! So let's gather our units and let's fight. P.S. I would really like to see the game online with other players!
Venture deep into the heart of corruption, where strategy, survival, and sacrifice intertwine — welcome to the relentless world of Arhaekon. This dark, turn-based roguelike RPG invites players into a hauntingly crafted universe where the remnants of humanity cling to hope, and ancient powers stir beneath the surface. As an Arhaekon, a mysterious figure bound to an ancient order, you are entrusted with a sacred — and deadly — mission: to lead your minions through treacherous dungeons, uncover powerful artifacts, and purge the world of abominations that threaten to consume what’s left of civilization. What sets Arhaekon apart isn't just its tactical combat or the permadeath tension of roguelike progression — it's the atmosphere. The game oozes style and detail, with beautifully hand-crafted environments, eerie sound design, and striking character art that immerses you fully in its grim fantasy setting. Each descent into the dungeon is a high-stakes gamble, demanding careful planning, adaptability, and sometimes brutal sacrifice. Every choice matters — from the positioning of your units, to the relics you claim, to how you manage your increasingly fragile group of followers. Visually, Arhaekon stuns. The graphics are not only impressive, but serve the worldbuilding, capturing both the decayed beauty of ruined civilizations and the otherworldly horror of its enemies. The game doesn’t hold your hand — and that’s part of its charm. It's challenging, at times unforgiving, but incredibly rewarding for those who embrace its depth. Whether you’re in it for the lore, the tactical gameplay, or the thrill of uncovering something new in every run, Arhaekon offers a refreshingly bold and immersive experience. With enjoyable mechanics, a great variety of enemies, spells, and tactics, and a rich world that invites exploration, Arhaekon isn’t just another dungeon crawler — it’s a beautifully brutal test of your will, patience, and strategic mind.
This is an exciting tactical roguelike with dungeon crawler elements. Select units, equip them with amulets, and explore dungeons to collect loot and craft items for your minions. Manage your inventory wisely.
Just started playing this beautiful game. It takes a lot for me to invest time in a game, but when I do, I tend to stick with those games for a long time, I'm arguably always willing to go back to them. Battletech 2018. Wartales, etc. Darkest Dungeon. Battle brothers, etc. I have a great feeling this game's going to be up there with the best of them!
Arhaekon is a game with a fascinating plot, quests and an amazing fantasy world. Creating your own character and choosing the path make each passage unique. Excellent gameplay, lots of tasks and puzzles, opportunities for character development. I recommend it to all fans of adventure and fantasy!
Arhaekon is a dark, atmospheric tactical RPG with roguelike and survival elements. Within the first hour, it managed to completely immerse me thanks to its unique visual style, procedural design, and carefully thought-out combat system. This is not a game for rushing — it requires thoughtfulness, observation, and strategy. Technical details: Launches without issues, stable 62 FPS (with V-Sync enabled) at 2560x1440 resolution. No lags, crashes, or bugs were found during testing. The game is very well optimized for modern systems (tested on Ryzen 9 7900X / RTX 4070 Super / 64 GB RAM). Gameplay and UI: After a brief introduction, most of the mechanics become clear. Turn-based combat is intense but not overwhelming. You need to think several steps ahead. The atmosphere of the world is simply wonderful: the music, effects, and graphics create an unsettling yet appealing mood. The interface is functional but may be a little overwhelming for a beginner. Suggestions for developers: Add localization for at least the main languages (especially Ukrainian) — this will be very helpful for those who are not fluent in English. There is a lot of text in the game, and without a full understanding, it is easy to miss important game details. Improve the tutorial: perhaps make the first missions more gradual or structure the tutorial in separate stages. It would be cool to have a more detailed journal/log of events and character actions — sometimes it's hard to remember why something happened. Who is this game for? For fans of Darkest Dungeon, Stoneshard, Battle Brothers, but with its own style. If you appreciate atmosphere, gradual immersion, and strategic depth, this is definitely your game. If you're looking for “simple entertainment for the evening,” Arhaekon will most likely seem too difficult at first. Conclusion: Arhaekon is not a mass-market game, but a niche find for those looking for something dark, slow-paced, and at the same time captivating. Even in just one hour, it shows enormous potential. I look forward to further updates and localizations.
