Archaica: The Path of Light

Absolutely loving this game. Wish I had known about it earlier. The mirror-and-lasers mechanic in this game has always been one of my favorite puzzles to solve in other games, and I was surprised to find this one. The atmosphere and music are top-notch, and the hint system isn't too "hand-holding" like other games' hint systems. It shows you where to place something, but it doesn't tell you exactly what or how to place it. Would love to see a sequel.

Excellent puzzles! I really enjoyed this kind of self-paced game where you can take your time to think without any sense of urgency. One of the best features is that you can resume exactly where you left off—there’s no need for manual saving, which makes the experience very smooth and relaxing. The only minor issue (and it’s not a big deal) is that Steam achievements don’t pop up while you’re playing; they only register after you exit the game. Other than that, I had a fantastic experience. I spent around 30 hours solving all the puzzles and achieving 100% completion, and it was absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

紹介動画で見たままのパズルゲームです。 光源から発せられた光のビームを画面上に配置されたクリスタルに導けば面クリアで、各面には鏡やスプリッタ などの「役物」が配置されているので、それを使って光路を組み立てていくというものです。 しかし単純に見えても、漫然と鏡を置くだけでは他の光路を邪魔して光が届かなかったり、条件である光の色を 一致させられなかったりと一筋縄にはいきません。 パズルの難易度としては自分にはちょっと高めで、画面上の「役物」が数個の段階でも解くのに四苦八苦して しまいました。 これがパズル好きの人なら、適度に歯ごたえのある良バランスという事になるかも知れません。 なお英語については、物語の背景説明が時々表示されますが、量も少なくゲームプレイに影響するものではないので 無視しても問題ないといった感じです。 表示はプレイヤーが先に進めるまで消えないので、読もうと思えばじっくりと読むことも可能です。

Such a good game! Beautiful graphics, challenging puzzles, it even has a story! 10 mysterious monoliths out of 10!

Very challenging game that sometimes seems to defy logic, but then not really if you think about it. I had to look up a guide only a very few times. Beware if you're playing on an ultrawide monitor though, some items may be hidden and out of reach/view due to bad implementation. Overall though, great game for big brainers, it requires a lot of thinking. If you like The Talos Principle, you'll like this.
