Endless Fables 3: Dark Moor

The message below was my original review. I have since upgraded to windows 11 from windows 10, and replayed the game. The achievements have all popped and the game runs perfectly on windows 11. I do not know if i should remove my thumbs down because I love the game, however if someone else is having the same problem i was, then this review might help. ty for reading :D *************** Original Review begins here*************** Not Recommended 12.3 hrs on record (7.4 hrs at review time) The Game achievements are broken. It was a good game, but if you enjoy achievements and meticulously hunt for those annoying hidden things, then you might be disappointed in the game. I've completely played through the game a few times trying to unlock achievements, but they will not unlock, Thumbs Down for that! The game has gorgeous imagery. I would rate it better, but people need to be aware before they Buy it, that the achievements are broken. so I gave it a thumbs down. Posted March 6. Last edited May 30.

Despite the shorter than average length and less than stellar experiences with the previous games in this series, Dark Moor was a very solid HOG. The spook factor of the monsters you fight is much more present in this game which makes it a great mood setter for Halloween. Puzzles, mainly the sliders, were a bit tedious or annoying but the rest of the puzzles were nice quick solves and the HO scenes were of average difficulty. Plot was decent and could be followed, it is enhanced by the variety of characters and monsters you encounter throughout. The wallpaper selections are also pretty decent compared to most. This is a good pick up when on sale, full price for the length of this game is ridiculous.

Elle va cette fois rendre visite à sa nièce dans le nord de l'Ecosse à l'occasion de l'anniversaire de cette dernière et c'est là que les choses vont mal tourner. La nièce va se retrouver prise dans une affaire de malédiction et Pamela va devoir se porter à son secours. On va donc retrouver les mêmes mécaniques de jeu que d'habitude avec des phases de point & click classique où on doit utiliser le bon objet au bon moment. Le jeu fait également la part belle aux tableaux d'objets cachés à retrouver et aux puzzles afin de progresser. Les graphismes sont réussis, de même que la musique qui nous accompagne dans cette aventure. Les puzzles sont réussis et le jeu propose comme le reste de la série des bonus appréciables. On pourra ainsi recommencer les différents mini-jeux, écouter la bande son et la sauvegarder dans ses documents, obtenir des fonds d'écrans du jeu et regarder à nouveau les cinématiques. Au final le jeu est bien réalisé, généreux en contenu et plaisant à parcourir. Was all right as far as those games go. Possible to get all achievements in one run, none are missable except for the usual hidden/morphing objects ones. The bonus chapter is mandatory to get 100%, and while it's a bit silly, at least it's short. As for the story... well. I don't really play those games for the story, and that's probably for the better.

3ème jeu de la série Endless Fables (du Artifex Mundi pur jus : aventure en point&click agrémenté de scènes d'objets cachés) Les graphismes sont jolis et soignés. Pour cet épisode, quelques éléments "horrifiques" ont été ajoutés (mais rassurez-vous pas de quoi faire des cauchemars 👻) Les mini-jeux et SOC peuvent se faire sans prise de tête avec juste un peu de réflexion (et au pire si vous êtes bloqués vous avez la possibilité de le passer). Vous aurez le choix entre plusieurs niveaux de difficultés. Des collectibles sont à trouver si vous partez à la chasse au 100% (un petit indicateur est présent sur chaque image pour savoir s'il vous reste des collectibles à trouver). Le jeu (histoire principale + chapitre bonus) se boucle en 4 heures environ. Si vous appréciez ce genre de jeu vous ne devriez pas être déçus.

It's like the Ghostbusters remake meets Abigail only it's not a dumpster fire like both those movies were.

As I usually do, I will recommend this, not only because it works, and I liked most of the minigames, but because Steam doesn't have a "meh" button. However, if you are looking for a good story with a satisfying ending, look elsewhere. This was all over the place, with too many moon-logic puzzles and people not acting in ways that make any sense in context. The myth and folklore of Scotland is badly represented, and really ticked me off at several points (using culturally amalgamated witchcraft to fight a magic banshee witch ghost being one of those things). Not even to mention how GENERIC the entire setting is to time, place, and people, with "standard Artifex Mundi amber and aqua fantasy kingdom" being a better description than "Scottish countryside" or anything similar. Heck, this is basically indistinguishable from the "House of 1000 Doors" series, in terms of location and feel.

great if you're looking for a fun but slightly spooky HOG to play. by this point in the series, the game feels so self aware, even referencing the fact that they shouldn't have thrown away a lighter earlier and that made me giggle. really enjoyable game!!

This HOP was a lot of fun! Great storytelling, and fun to follow through to the end. The music is epic and grand, befitting a daring quest! Lots of fun and easy puzzles to enjoy along the way. The bonus story was really trippy though. Just some weird weird stuff. Overall a great game! Loved collecting the pumpkins then reading the facts page about them!
