Dorian Morris Adventure

I can't recommend this game as it is right now. The game is interesting as a concept, but as another reviewer noted, the game has not been completely translated into English and so suddenly puzzle text appears in Polish (?). The text at times is cut off of the cards and text size in the journal is incredibly small. It is not clear what is to be done and so a lot of clicking is involved. I don't mind that necessarily, but in the second game section, I thought I was going to a different room and I ended up leaving the second scenario unfinished and I could not go back without starting the entire game over since there is just one auto save. All of the above made for an unenjoyable experience.

Parts of the game aren't localized at all (for English at least) and other parts are poorly localized. Text is cut off in I'd say 25% of the areas, puzzles aren't explained very well, and even if they were, I'm still not understanding how it connects back to finding my grandfather PLUS there's been a murder we just kind of forget about? Developers, please please PLEASE have an English copywriter take a closer look at your game.

The game is very creative with a great art style. The problem is it was clearly developed by people who don't speak English as their first language. I'm sorry but you guys need to hire an English copy writer. The puzzles are clumsily worded. There are basic grammar errors and strangely structured sentences that don't seem to be part of the riddle but just bad writing. Ok, it's a Polish studio, but look at CD Projekt Red. Also Polish developers and they have some of the most well written dialogue around.

It’s a great game for 9 dollars. This is really going to be a game for a small crowed, but I applaud the creativity I don’t know many games like this and that’s why I love indie games. Always pushing in different directions and making things we would never think of being a game.

Everything's fine. Great story, great game! Pretty hard puzzles. I managed to get through to the end and it turned out that I'm predisposed to be a priest !!!!!! What????

PL (Scroll down for english review) Dorian Morris Adventure jest grą stylizowaną na przygodówkę. Niestety łamigłówki pozostawiają wiele do życzenia, gdyż nie dość, że trudniejsze nie udzielają informacji zwrotnej, to wskazówki jednej z nich kłamią. Dodatkowo czasem miałem wrażenie, że wersja angielska dawała więcej informacji, ale ta z kolei miała wtrącenia po polsku, co wybijało z rytmu rozgrywki. Na koniec gra ujawnia, że jest gloryfikowanym testem osobowościowym, zapominając przy tym, że ludzie w grach podejmują często decyzje inne niż w prawdziwym życiu. Danie rezultatu takiego testu nie sprawia, że znika poczucie, że decyzje w grze nie miały znaczenia. Grę można ukończyć w czasie mniejszym od dwóch godzin, ale niedługo przed końcem zacięła mi się gra i po zrestartowaniu w pośpiechu kliknąłem zacznij od nowa zamiast kontynuuj, co zwiększyło moją frustrację. Mimo to jestem pewien, że gra ta nie daje dobrego doświadczenia. EN Dorian Morris Adventure is stylised to look like an adventure game. The puzzles however leave much to be desired. Not only the harder ones give no feedback, but clues to one of those are lying. Moreover the english version sometimes displays text in polish instead of english. In the end game reveals itself to be some sort of glorified personality test, forgetting that people act differently to how they would in real life. Giving test results doesn't cause the feeling of your decisions not mattering to go away. Game can be completed in under two hours, but just before ending my game froze and when restarting I clicked to start a new game instead of continue because of doing so hastily, which soured the experience even more, but even without that my opinion of this game wouldn't be high.

It is a great adventure game with nice graphics. Reminds me of early old school point and click adventures from Amiga games era. The puzzles are not too easy and not too difficult. The graphics are clear and in one paintery style. Music could be more diverse and puzzles could have more clues. Over all 4,5/5. Its a indie production so the price overgrows its value. Support the Indie Devs if you want something more then EA and micro transactions in games :D
