So if I understand correctly this used to be a collection of a bunch of games, then in July 2021 the dev decided to delete all but one. I only played the game after it has been changed so I can't comment about the rest, but the one that was left is absolute garbage. It has one singular level in which you are a smiley face shooting at other smiley faces that show up randomly till the game just ends out of nowhere. No settings, not controls rebinding, nothing at all. And there is something weird going on with the graphic of it as well. It works fine with Proton (7,0-3) but that is the only good thing I can say about it. Stay well away.
A collection of sub-par games with poor controls and so so hit detection. If any of these games showed up at an actual arcade I wouldn't play them. GAMES IN BASE GAME: Bald Adventures Bitman 3 Cauliflower Death Virus Donuts Attack Fates Keys Gladiador New Dark Run and Shoot Shapes Survival GAMES IN DLC 1: Hit the Apple Kangel Kill the Bell Pepper Kill the Bird Player vs Player Santa Claus Against Snowmen Space King Space Now CONTROLS Keyboard; Mouse. Awkward with some prompts, but not enough for me to always figure out what I'm supposed to do. LANGUAGE Text only. Game titles are in English, Menu Navigation text is a mixture of English and Spanish. GRAPHICS I honestly can't think of much to say about the graphics. 2 out of 10 I guess. SUMMARY Collection of sub-par games with awkward controls. No way to exit game without having to reboot your PC. That's my experience anyway. The menus allows you to navigate to a page headed 'DLC 2,' with the rest of the page empty save for an arrow which allows you to scroll back to previous pages. So expect a DLC 2 at some point. On the positive side it's cheap to purchase this game, but then cheap is a relative term. In fairness I haven't spent much time playing this game, but then why should I when there are so many good games out there for me to play? Unable to take screenshots.

This is neither strange, nor is it a collection. It's not even really a game. To charge money for this should be punishable as a crime. Possibly a hate crime, because of how much I hate this terrible game.
"The strangest game in the world" is a poorly made 2D retro pixel top down shooter slapped together badly with Construct 3. It was apparently once part of a selection of crappy 2D retro pixel shovelware games that nobody wanted or asked for, but now if you buy this you just get this one crappy shooter game. This does raise the fascinating philosophical question: Is it better or worse for the game package to have more crappy shovelware games in it? Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. Bewilderingly, the game doesn't include proper audio controls, so you can't turn off the annoying background music, you'll need to alt+tab out and stop the music using the Windows sound mixer. This is obviously not okay and it's unclear why the developers chose not to include this basic feature. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Construct 2/Construct 3 game engine/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's worse than GameMaker Studio!). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. That's right, only 2. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason. The strangest game in the world is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
Profile features limited. Its garbage.
Arcade games collection is a retro-style indie compilation created by DIG Games that focuses on delivering fast and simple arcade entertainment through a variety of small mini-games inspired by classic gaming eras. Rather than aiming for deep mechanics or cinematic presentation, the game embraces straightforward gameplay loops centered around quick reactions, score chasing, and casual fun. It feels very much like a tribute to old arcade cabinets and early console experiences where gameplay simplicity was the main attraction. While the collection is undeniably rough around the edges, it still manages to offer moments of enjoyment for players who appreciate lightweight retro experiences and experimental indie projects. The first thing that stands out about the game is its commitment to old-school simplicity. Players can jump into the action almost immediately without spending time learning complicated systems or progression mechanics. Most of the included mini-games revolve around familiar arcade concepts such as dodging hazards, defeating enemies, collecting points, or surviving increasingly difficult scenarios. This accessibility makes the collection easy to approach for casual sessions, especially for players looking for short bursts of entertainment instead of long-term investment. Visually, the game embraces a colorful retro aesthetic filled with simplistic sprites, basic environments, and arcade-inspired effects. The presentation feels intentionally low-budget, but there is still a playful charm in the way everything is designed. Bright visuals and energetic sound effects help recreate the atmosphere of classic arcade gaming, even if the technical quality remains fairly basic. The soundtrack and audio design are repetitive at times, but they fit the fast-paced and chaotic tone of the collection well enough. One of the more entertaining aspects of Arcade games collection is how unpredictable it can feel. DIG Games often experiments with unusual concepts, and this compilation reflects that same chaotic creativity. Some mini-games introduce strange mechanics or bizarre scenarios that can become amusing simply because of how unexpected they are. The collection does not always feel polished or balanced, but it occasionally creates fun moments through pure randomness and arcade-style chaos. The game works best when played casually in short sessions. Jumping between mini-games keeps the experience from becoming immediately stale, and some challenges can become surprisingly addictive when players focus on improving high scores or mastering certain mechanics. There is a simple satisfaction in replaying short arcade-style challenges while trying to survive longer or perform better than before. For players who enjoy old-school score chasing, the game provides enough variety to remain mildly entertaining for a while. However, the collection’s biggest weakness is its lack of depth. Many of the mini-games feel more like small gameplay experiments than fully developed arcade experiences. While classic arcade games are usually built around simple mechanics, the best examples in the genre rely on extremely refined gameplay loops that remain addictive for hours. Arcade games collection struggles to reach that level because several activities become repetitive after only a few matches. The limited complexity and shallow mechanics make the overall experience feel temporary rather than truly engaging. The uneven quality between mini-games also affects the package significantly. Some activities are genuinely entertaining for brief periods, while others feel unfinished or lacking clear direction. This inconsistency makes the collection feel less cohesive as a complete product. Instead of building momentum over time, the experience fluctuates depending on which mini-game is currently being played. Technical polish is another area where the game shows its limitations. Controls occasionally feel stiff, collision detection can behave awkwardly, and menu presentation is extremely barebones. The overall interface lacks refinement, making the collection feel more like a series of loosely connected prototypes than a polished arcade anthology. Although performance remains stable due to the game’s simplicity, the roughness becomes noticeable very quickly. Despite its shortcomings, there is still a certain charm in the project’s honesty. Arcade games collection does not pretend to be a massive modern arcade package filled with endless content or competitive features. Instead, it feels like a small indie project focused entirely on simple entertainment and experimentation. Players who enjoy quirky indie games and low-budget retro experiences may still find some enjoyment in its casual and chaotic nature. Ultimately, Arcade games collection is a modest indie arcade compilation that succeeds mainly through accessibility and nostalgic simplicity rather than depth or refinement. Its fast-paced mini-games and retro presentation can provide entertaining distractions in short sessions, especially for players who enjoy unusual indie projects and classic arcade-inspired gameplay. However, repetitive mechanics, uneven game quality, and a lack of polish prevent the collection from becoming consistently engaging over long periods. It is a lightweight arcade experience with occasional flashes of charm, but one that struggles to maintain lasting excitement. Rating: 5/10
