Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Jul 20 → 0.83/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Apocalypse Express is an action management Roguelike in which the player conducts, upgrades and repairs different parts of the train through endless waves of enemies in a post-apocalyptic setting. Departing the darkness of their lifelong shelter, the player decides to embark on a journey through the wasteland looking to fulfill the dream of seeing the outside world with their own eyes, charting out a map around the few remaining memories of the past world.
Be prepared for some nail-biting tension as you try to keep your train running while balancing putting out fires, collecting resources and dispatching enemies. You won't always be able to take care of every part of the Train so be ready to think fast and smart as things will not go as planned.
Modules are the foundation of your Build. Fill up your Wagons with various modules each giving you unique abilities. There are Modules for every type of Wastelander. Go full offense by building up an arsenal of cannons, rocket launchers and turrets, obliterating everything in your path. Take the more defensive approach and create an indestructible machine built around disabling enemies, deflecting shots and extinguishing fires, keeping your train healthy and running even through the harshest conditions. Or experiment with other combinations, perhaps go with a speedy train that gets you to your destination faster or even create a completely autonomous system that does all the work for you. Your slots are limited, so choose wisely.
Once you've assembled your perfect combination of modules it's time to make them shine. Each module can be upgraded in dozens of interesting ways, either by making them more powerful or introducing completely new abilities.
Relics are the final piece of the puzzle, you can only have a few of them but relics often bring powerful and impactful effects that can be the backbone of some amazing builds! Mix and match them to find the best combination to create the perfect Train.

Good game, really addictive. I've finished game with all train and danger 16 in ~20h. Finding the good build for every train is fun. Overall balance is not that great: there are clearly item that are mandatory for each train (e.g. bonus for consecutive shots on one side of the train for interdimensional train) or build is basically garbage. When finding what work and what doesn't overall, variety of runs and replayability is becoming problematic. All being said, that's fair for the price. I think I'm done with the game until a proper balance is done. Past danger 16 the game is getting too much RNG dependent and unfair imo with the damage/health of ennemies getting insane right from the start and the malus reducing the loot option and/or stronger ennemi from different biome.
Saw this on r/FTLGame. i was not disappointed. Fun. RNG. Rougelike. very FTL like.

hectic, but surprisingly well balanced
its fun
Better as a co-op game maybe but too much to manage when EVERYTHING IS GOING ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WRONG!!!!!!
Loving the game so far. Noticing it could be multiplayer i was worried it'd be difficult alone, but so far I'm steamrolling through it. Edit: 14 hours in. Have only lost one run. up to weight 7. You can't stop this locomotive.
I like it
едешь стреляешь
Too much RNG that determines if you run will be succesful or you are doomed from the start. The worst is a chance to run out of ammo with no way to replanish it, somewhere deep in a run. And when you ran out of ammo you can't do anything other than sit back and watch as enemies slowly having their way with your train. Or you just don't get any decent offencive modules and have to face late game enemies with barebones starter canon, with predictable results.
