[b]Anomaly[/b]'s gameplay was perfect for a mobile adaptation, and it delivers quite well. The loss of detail compared to the PC version is minimal; even the UI and the transition from main view to map are intact. It misses the entire Tokyo campaign, but at least the Baghdad campaign has been expanded, with some extra missions showing situations similar to ones that originally happened in Japan. It's fairly easier because there is no commander on screen here, just a tap to launch abilities or collect them without needing to physically reach them first; the effect of the odious Hacker turrets can be disabled with just three taps.
The point is that we are talking about a "backport" to PC here. The port is really basic: it works perfectly, it just has no improvements, and so it also runs at a lower resolution than what is possible with the original. It's a fine little game in itself, even more so at the ridiculous prices it is discounted to on a regular basis (69 cents as of this writing), which is why it still gets a thumbs up. It's just quite redundant when you have the original at hand.
