It has potential for sure. Few things i would personally like to see put in. 1. make it so we can switch cameras with A and D or left/right arrow. make the anomalies super obvious what they are. The ghosts look like intruders, from my experience at least. Its like a 1/3 gamble whenever something pops up that's obvious. Could either be an intruder, extra object, or other. And sometimes even a ghost. Scrap the 3 strikes you're out system. And somehow i was able to break that? not entirely sure how. but i had infinite reports even when wrong. All in all it has major potential.
Alright, I’ve played a lot of anomaly hunting games. I go through at least one a week. But I haven’t seen a game this dumb in a long time. Where to begin? Ah, maybe with the fact that something is clearly broken with how death is implemented. After I died once, the game bugged out and wouldn’t let me die again, no matter how many mistakes I made. And come on — if you can't lose, what’s the point of playing a game at all? The game isn’t scary. Even though it boldly warns that it’s not suitable for people with heart conditions, the game isn’t scary. In fact, it’s laughable. Also, the game is full of what are probably copyright-protected elements (and I seriously doubt the unknown indie studio behind it has paid for them) — from Max Payne posters to appearances by famous movie monsters like Pennywise, the girl from The Ring, or Twisty the Clown from American Horror Story, the game is packed with characters that... probably shouldn’t be there. And its biggest crime — it’s boring. When the anomalies aren’t scary and you can’t lose, the gameplay devolves into mindlessly flipping through low-res black-and-white scenes and reporting the more obvious anomalies. The game has been out a month, and it is still broken. It shouldn't have been released in this condition before testing. If the devs fix all the issues and improve the game, I will change my review to a positive, as it has potential, with more work. The life system breaks, no anomalies appear in the Entrance of the Subway, the anomaly counter breaks if you play through more than once (I got - 92 out of 34???). Some anomalies I had to "fix" 4x in order for 1 to disappear. A lot of the anomalies are obvious and some Intruders are listed as "Other", which will result in a life lost. So I would recommend not buying or playing this game, until the devs fix it.
After a long and arduous time of hearing what sounded like my fire detector had no battery I stumble into a win on the subway. I hated the sound design. Do better, be better.
I love anomaly games. Unfortunately, this one has some serious game breaking bugs. You are supposed to have three lives but that will break and then you have infinite lives (almost every time). Also, the game will break and stop reporting when you have too many anomalies. Lastly, this is not a bug but its frustrating on the intruder, ghost, other anomalies considering most look the same and the reporting of which becomes a gamble. The game has a lot of potential but unfortunately the bugs and the anomaly issue ruin the experience.
After your first fail, the three strikes system no longer works so it's basically an autowin if you don't beat it first try. You also cannot tell the difference between ghosts and intruders and those under the other category, so if the game did work, you'd be out of luck just guessing what is in the house. Broken game, meh anomalies.
Not worth the three dollars I paid.
COMLPLETE THE SUBWAY
This game is not well balanced, buggy and unfinished. Some rooms have good amount of stuff but some rooms are so filled with items that it's just overwhelming. You end up spamming object movement/extra object/object missing for those rooms and it usually just fixes something. Three strike system? Yeah, it doesn't work. And we ended up finishing the house with 26 / 36 anomalies fixed? When intruder appears, it just randomly other/ghost and some times actually intruder, there's pretty much no logic. We ended up laughing more with this Observation Duty game than with any other but I guess that wasn't the point.. This being a horror game and all that :)
