Anno 2070™

Ubissoft is one of the worst companies. Followed closely by Microshafted and EA$$ Holes. These third party launchers will always get a downvote from me. Hopefully other will follow till they stop this. I had most of my XP and earlier games on disc and could in theory still play them , even with friends 20+ years later. Even my c64 games. Now what happens if steam goes away??? Your entire library and literally 10,000+ dollars could all vanish. You don't own anything as the rent seekers want more and more of your money for doing nothing, and taking away that which you once owned!

Disregard the bad reviews, Ubisoft holds this series hostage via uplay, ubisoft connect, or whatever those turds call it nowadays. It's annoying but Anno games are well worth the hassle. Probably the best entry in the series, Anno 2070 has a lot of depth (pun intended) without being so deep as to utterly overwhelm newcomers. There's multiple factions with different play styles and aesthetics, but you must play with all of them to truly master the game (Unlike Anno 1404 where the orient feels like an afterthought). Supplying energy and maintaining the environment offers a number of unique problems to solve. Research and development, combined with the ARK system allows you to personalize your style of play. The game is a little old, but the art style holds up and the devs have taken care of the game, even after ubisoft withdrew support. If you've never played an Anno title, I recommend you start here.

As of December 2024, I cannot recommend this game due to some Ubisoft login error. After you install, there'll be a message about installing something then ask for a restart. Unfortunately you can't get beyond that. DO NOT BUY.

Came back to the game after a couple of years and now I NEED to Login into some weird Spyware by some another bunch of info thieves. I'm just happy I live in EU, where people can sign a petition: Stop Destroying Videogames Hopefully these companies will one up their BEHINDS And NO! I did not buy this game to compete with a bunch of people I don't know NO! I don't give an excrement about any special offers NO! I don't want to share my progress with ANYBODY!!!!!!!! And Yes! I want to play WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION Yes! I chose this game because I could run it on a modern LAP! TOP! Yes! You can shove your DRM into the orifice from which digested food comes out........

As soon as their games gets old, they're abandoned, if they keep doing this as soon as games get old, they deserve bankrupcy, why pay for a game if it will lose part of it's functionality anyway, the game is good but the company is really bad. # BOYCOTT UBISOFT

Cant even play the game. Requires you to sign into your ubisoft account, got locked out of my old email and contacted Ubisoft about changing this game over to my new account, after multiple emails and going back and fourth, them telling me it should be all good, still cant play it, just gave up emailing them. So frustrating dealing with them
