Anno 117: Pax Romana

Ubisoft continues to lead the way in worst studio around. You have to register an account with ubisoft and use their stupid launcher. Plus they took away the ability to play it offline. Its basically the perfect list of how to piss off players. I returned it and wont be purchasing any Ubisoft games ever again.

I beat the entire campaign at this 19 hour mark, which is a bit of a let down. the systems feel far less complex than other anno games which is good for a simpleton like meself, but the price tag doesnt justify the content here. after beating it there was no fun left to be had for me even in sandbox mode. maybe ill return to this game in years to come but by then it will be filled with the ubislop dlcs, and even then if i wanted to get an hour per dollar i spent on this game it would take multiple more playthroughs which i do not see happening ever.

Ein sehr lustiges Spiel mit schöner Grafik. Inseln besiedeln, Städte bauen sowie Lieferketten aufbauen und optimieren macht richtig Spaß. Der Vulkan DLC ist auch gut gelungen und kann bei schwierigeren Einstellungen recht herausfordernd sein. Es muss aber auch gesagt werden, dass das Spiel nicht ganz frei von Bugs ist. Mir sind zwar nur kleinere aufgefallen, aber sie fallen auf. Z.B. Platzieren von Gebäuden funktioniert nicht immer ganz korrekt, und Schiffe zu Inseln schicken erfordert manchmal mehrere Klicks.

Je recommande vivement Anno 117: Pax Romana. Cela faisait longtemps qu'un jeu de civilisation ne m'avait pas autant captivée: on ne voit pas le temps passer et chaque quête résolue donne envie de passer à la suivante. Les graphismes sont superbes avec une ambiance immersive. La campagne m'a semblé un peu courte, mais il reste énormément de contenu et de quêtes à découvrir, ce qui donne une excellente durée de vie au jeu. 1H m parait 10 minutes.

Was fine for the first couple months. Now when I press launch on Steam or Ubisoft launcher it just keeps reopening the Ubisoft launcher, game never starts.

I was really looking forward to this one. I can get over the usual Ubisoft BS to play 1800 because it is so great. 117s AI voice acting took me right out of the immersion. The gameplay felt weird and unfinished as well. Maybe if they hired some voice actors it could be saved.
