Angry Video Game Nerd II: ASSimilation

Don't trust the positive reviews. Fanboys at their finest are keeping this well above where it should be. Take away the license and it's a below average retro-style game.

Saw an unironic review that bemoaned the game and said, "Too hard, too many repetitive crude jokes, and bad puns. Would not recommend". So need to clarify. It is too hard, too many repetitive crude jokes, and bad puns. Would recommend. Actually, I disagree with the 'bad puns' part, I mean come on, we got a CaCaDemon and My Neighbor Scrotoro, those are top tier puns. 10/10.

I managed to beat this game before 5:40, but it was a fun time. I'd recommend this version over the rerelease since it retains the Nostalgia Critic and movie tie in stuff. A lot cooler than the last game. Fairer difficulty, new moves, better visuals and level themes, and yet another great ost. It's far from a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of ♥♥♥♥.

The Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures II: ASSimilation is een waardig vervolg op de eerste game. Als je dacht dat die niet beter kon, dan moet je echt deel twee eens proberen. Alles wat je hoopte dat ze zouden toevoegen aan dit tweede spel, is in grote lijnen ook echt aanwezig. De gameplay is nog vloeiender, mede door de wall jump en de extra skills die je kunt vrijspelen. De graphics zijn nog altijd heerlijk retro en de muziek is geweldig. Voor de echte fan is deze game een absolute aanrader, maar ook voor niet-fans is het spel zeker de moeite waard. Sommige humor zullen zij misschien niet direct snappen, maar ik kan je vertellen: het past perfect in het straatje van de Nerd.
