Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Enter ANEURISM IV, a sprawling metropolis where the proletariat works without question and the air is thick with decay. As a Spirit—a spectral entity on the verge of becoming flesh and bone—you stand at a crossroads. The city is yours to influence, disrupt, or simply observe. With no set goals or rules, how you engage with this world is entirely up to you.
From the hardworking Prole to the affluent Banker, each fate offers unique abilities, challenges, and ways to interact with the city and its inhabitants. Your choice defines your journey:
Align with the Cortex to stabilize and protect the city.
Join the Scumbags or Zealots to spread the Rot and sow chaos.
Remain Neutral and immerse yourself in daily life, working in factories or exploring the city.
An ever-present threat, the Rot visibly alters the city as it spreads. Roles like Liquidators and Scumbags are pivotal in either containing or exploiting this menace. If left unchecked, the Rot will consume everything, leading to the city's demise.
ANEURISM IV is a sandbox simulator first and foremost. The city reacts dynamically to player actions:
Take Down the City: Collaborate with others to bring about the city's downfall and witness its reset.
Protect the City: Work to maintain order and keep the Rot at bay.
Live Your Life: Engage in everyday activities or carve out a unique path—it's your choice.
Survival depends on your willingness to work. Earn credits by taking on various jobs—labour in factories, manage resources as a Prole, or manipulate finances as a Banker. These credits are your lifeline, allowing you to purchase necessities from shops, trade for valuable goods, or invest in property.
In ANEURISM IV, there are no rules dictating your actions. Every decision you make impacts the city and its inhabitants. Will you bring stability or chaos? The choice is yours.
Total Freedom: No imposed objectives. Play your way.
Dynamic Consequences: Every action influences the world around you.
Multiplayer Interaction: Invite friends to join your world—collaborate, compete, or coexist.
Survival Mechanics: Manage your nourishment and sanity in an oppressive, ever-changing environment.

This game in its prime was beautiful, and i yearn for those days once more
This isn't Dark RP, this is a direct rip of GMod Half-Life 2 RP. That is not hyperbole, this is nearly a 1:1 with HL2 roleplay in mechanics and feel. If you've played HL2 RP, you'll agree. Oppressive police force, ominous propaganda broadcasts, a giant administration tower, suspicious water, rations, rebels hiding beneath the city, social credits, and housing blocks. It's 1:1, the developers removed the Half-Life setting and drenched the mechanics in their own own grim-dark setting. Most people will not enjoy Aneurism IV, it's a very niche roleplaying game. It's a lot of grinding for nothing, figuring out how to protect your assets, and hopefully being able to survive the griefers long enough to get to where you want. Not much different from HL2 RP. Except HL2 RP servers forced players into real roleplaying, actually adopting the life style of a citizen under Combine control, which lead to some really interesting and fun roleplaying scenarios. In A:IV, you're not going to have a real roleplaying experience. Moderation can't weed out griefers. There is one main server that actually has people playing in it, filled with the regulars who already know how to exploit the system. The lore of A:IV isn't known like HL2, there's nothing for a new player to grapple on to. HL2 RP has problems, but A:IV feels pointless. Where you had Civil Protection patrolling the streets, watching over posts, protecting and oppressing the citizens, Aneurism IV has people just grinding or doing nothing. Here's the problem, this game relies on fresh players and a healthy player base and interesting roleplay. A new player enters A:IV for the first time, they have no attachment to the lore of A:IV and have no idea how to play the game. The existing player base of about 200 people will chew them up and spit them out before they can say "♥♥♥♥" and then they're rushing to the refund button to get their $10 back. This game should be cheap, almost free. $1.00 entry, and a cosmetic shop. A single dollar isn't worth the refund, and you'll have a good portion of owners return to the game to try it out again in the future and maybe learning the ropes. You're not attracting the existing HL2 RP players, they're on their GMod servers, you're trying to attract new players who've never played something this strange and brutal. For those new players, playing this is like biting into black licorice. It needs a handful of tries before you go "oh... I actually kind of like this." Cost of entry is too high, existing player base is hostile towards newbies, in-game work is not enjoyable, banking system is a joke, the lack of "law" is killing the game. Now the devs are sitting on a tiny player base.

The devs hate the fans. DO NOT BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE
Good luck trying to figure out how to run a shop or do anything thats not a basic job. There is a single server running in the entire game as of writing this with 60-80 players. Which seems to be way over a standard server's comfort zone. You probably wont get a chance to even touch the shops or anything like that because they pyramid scheme the shops and then hop off and make fat profit while offline. So if you wanna be a proper businessman, don't bother until the game has more players. The wiki is also extremely outdated and un-detailed in a lot of cases, and youtube is also outdated, making it hard to learn how to do a lot of things.
This game can absolutely be a fun time, and the concept is great, but a combination of declining player numbers and SOME people in the community being incredibly annoying and rancid, makes for some of the most frustrating game experiences right along with the fun ones
Dying game, community servers are never populated meaning you're gonna have to play on unmoderated official servers full of trolls, hackers, and just generally unpleasant people who ruin the experience of what could be a really good game otherwise. Would be amazing if there was actual moderation. The Anamnecyte debt system that makes you a prisoner and forces you to grind your debt away by doing the most tedious, literally sisyphean task ever is actual hot garbage because you ultimately get punished for fighting back against griefers, that is if griefers don't use it against you in the first place, i.e. deliberately jumping in front of your shots to get themselves killed when you're trying to shoot a Limitation target as a Cortex, or many other fun ways to try and bait someone into losing Anamnecytes. I've seen quite a few different techniques; and admittedly I've even fallen victim to a couple of them myself in the past. It's not fun at all. Arguably, it's a stupid mechanic that's only going to contribute to the playerbase dying out, because some people who would otherwise stay on the game and keep playing are just not going to want to spend obnoxious amounts of time pushing rocks for things that may not even really be their fault in the first place. And I think I count myself among that group. I have better things to do than play a game that does not respect my time.
DEAD GAME 2 servers left >300ms
Fun game. Great world, factions, setting, the whole shabangbang. Only downside is lack of players... which could be solved with a PVE mode or something. Horde Mode would be lowk awesome. Waves of ai of either Scum or Cotrex. Resupply at the end of waves, buy weapons, could be an opportunity to expand on lore, introduce new weapons, BRING IN PLAYERS (keyword for the dying game) who just want to get straight into the action without the need to grind for a fate that they'll just die in 2 seconds later and restart the process because of a camper, etc, etc. I genuinely think it'd be a W game mode. Would it be hard? ♥♥♥♥ yeah, I won't deny it. Would it be a great way to revive the game? ♥♥♥♥ yeah
Devs are out of touch and the game is dead.
I really wish that I could write a good review about this game, but alas, the community, lack of competency within the developer team, and plain toxicity present within this game has scared me away to rarely touching it as of July, 2026. I originally bought this game sometime in December of 2025, and found myself enjoying it initially. Primarily focusing on playing Scum or Prole, I met many interesting people, and even formed a gang in the mining locale so that we could pool together our credits equally and buy gear. I liked the combat, lack of major rule bodies, and way of life present across all of the factions. The economy also interested me greatly, as I found myself consistently owning businesses that made me rich on many servers before their rot events. However, this was the time that the initial enjoyment fell off, as the sheer monotony of gathering resources, then AMs (the life currency of the game), then dying, was only enjoyable for so long. I get that the whole point of the game is to be dystopian where your "life doesn't matter", but the sheer amount of times that I have been TKed and unfairly caught in the misfire of situations is almost baffling and has made the game unenjoyable for me as of recent. This brings me into my second qualm with this game: the lack of moderation and disgusting community. Understandably, when you promote a game that has "minimal moderation" and a "lack of rules", you're going to attract a very bad audience. The sheer toxicity of this game has made me feel ill at times, as the actions and words of many across a plethora of servers have given me a very bad taste in my mouth, whether it be the use of slurs by many people, or the consistent stealing and killings that plague all the servers, the game has been destroyed by its lack of consequences and moderation. You can still have moderation in games of these sorts, but at a minimum; this game seems to have just tossed moderation directly out of the window. As a whole, I unfortunately do not recommend this game to anyone who isn't ready for consistent griefing, toxicity, and incompetent ruling bodies.
