and Roger is an interactive novel that lets you see through the protagonist's eyes—whether what she sees makes sense or not. It is comprised of three chapters and can be played in its entirety in about one hour.
It's just another morning for this young girl. She wakes up and starts getting herself ready while shaking off the sleepiness like always. Except something, somehow, feels off.
When she steps into the living room, she expects to find her dad preparing for work. Instead, she finds a stranger sleeping on the couch.
The man wakes up, looks at the girl, and sighs. Ignoring her confusion, he mumbles to himself with a hint of sadness in his voice.
Scared, the girl runs. She must leave the house.
She doesn't know who this man is or where her father has gone.
Walk alongside her on this twisting, twisted path and see where it will lead her.

This is a sweet game about [spoiler] a woman with degenerative brain disorder[/spoiler]. It is brief, and conveys the perspective it wants to tell you perfectly. Although the minigames that progress the game were too simplistic. Also, Idk if it was something on my side or the game, but there are puzzle segments where the motion is tied to you dragging something with your mouse. Since the motion is sometimes too fast or slow, the transitions feel very jittery.

人に優しくすることが上手くいかなかったことがある人ほど、グッとくる。 ここまで心動かされたゲームを体験したのは、本当に久しぶりです。 プレイをしてよかった。愛を持って人に接しよう、そう思えました。
At first this game frustrated the hell out of me. I almost wanted to quit because of how stupid the interactions were. But when you get to the end and realize why it's all happening, it makes it such a beautiful experience

Запутанная история, все очень сложно, но в этом и смысл. Чтобы понять что я вообще увидела пришлось лезть в интернет. Деменция - страшная штука, но тут это показывают очень хорошо. В игре мы видим мир глазами Софии, то есть, отрывки из жизни, которые остались в памяти. Про первую главу не скажешь, что она про детство, она про восприятие Софии себя и своего мужа, потому что из-за деменции она забыла его и видит незнакомцем. Вторая про счастье до деменции, любовь, брак, но все же уже показывают проблемы в браке. Роджер не приходит домой, а София его ждет. Третья глава по сути раскрывает весь смысл, в виде девочки и незнакомца, Роджер говорит про его проблему с Софией, что каждый день буквально одно и то же, в "старости", он говорит про применение физической силы в её сторону из-за таблеток. В общем, игра прикольная, но управление иногда сложновато.
