From the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Dear Esther comes a new first-person horrorgame that will drag you to the depths of greed, power and madness. It will bury its snout into your ribs and it will eat your heart.

Definitely a fun horror game for me. The game feels/looks a bit dated, which I think some people might dislike and I had to get used to that. However, once you're into the game, it has a charm to it. For some reason, for me, this game very well portrays the creepy vibes of the industrialistic times in old England, by the voices, the interior of the buildings, etc. The story is eerie, and also has some creepy, disgusting monsters, so fun for horror lovers.
This is a delightfully messed-up game and a good sequel to the original. The final speech at the end is unsettling. You can guess a major part of the plot pretty early, but that doesn't take away much from the experience. If you liked the original Amnesia, this is worth trying out.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is generally considered the black sheep of the Amnesia series. I had played a couple hours of the game my self a long, long time ago and quit. I have watched several videos, bashing the game for its faults as an Amnesia game. That is why I am shocked at how much I enjoyed the game. I started the game with the pre judgement that I would find the game not very scary and boring. I can say with confidence that after beating the game I am left very satisfied. I have to concede that the pig creatures are not nearly as scary as the creatures found in the other games, in fact I found them to look goofy the way they waddle around. There was a jump scare in particular involving a pig mask while climbing up a ladder that felt really desperate and embarrassing. Yes the game took out a lot of the gameplay mechanics of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but what it lacks in gameplay it more than makes up for in narrative. The story is very interesting and it is massively helped by the fantastic music and great voice work. They do a really good job creating tension and atmosphere with ambiance and sound effects. The game also has some really stunning sights. The moment you step outside and gaze at the moon. The moment you enter the church's main hall and the music kicks in. The massive scale of the factory and its gears. The game is extremely dark, yet I was rarely lost on where to go next. If you go in to the game expecting Amnesia: The Dark Descent and its gameplay systems you will be left disappointed, but if you can appreciate the unfolding narrative and its characters then you are sure to find some enjoyment out of the experience. I would suggest you play the entire game in one go. It flows really well that way and the entire thing will only take you about 3-4 hours. The technical state of the game is mostly sound, I had the game crash on me once and every now and then I would have to quickly tab out and back in again to fix the framerate.
re cortito como mi pito
I could write a good amount about this game, but it's also pretty easy to sum up. Fantastic story, first off, and one that I believe to be much better and coherent than the first Amnesia. This game, though, wasn't scary, and truly was a walking simulator. No puzzles at all either, which I don't really mind, but I also wouldn't have complained if there were a couple either, or at least some sort of mechanic like puzzles. Great voice acting, sound design, and music. Very well done atmosphere on top of those too. The conclusion is a little vague and unclear (could be me), but I wouldn't say it's a bad ending. Worth the playthrough overall. It's a short experience that delivers a worthwhile tale, at least. 6/10 comfortably.
Honestly Meh... I had really bad screen tearing that just was not correctable no matter the adjustments I made to vsync, graphics, resolution, etc. I had to turn off so many things right out of the gate as the visual effects were determined to give me a headache (radial blur | mouse smoothing | light bloom | image trail | sepia | etc...) Additionally, just like Dark Descent, there is a ton of reading. Which is fine, but they seem to have chosen a decorative font over legibility, it's straining to the eyes and challenging to read out loud (if you have an audience). Graphics and art direction aside - The game is simply not scary at all, and I cant even say it was terribly fun. If you were scared, maybe wandering around in these long tunnels and maze-like rooms would be pretty stressful... but without the fear, its just adds long walking segments for no reason. So many of the puzzles are recycled from the 1st game, and repeat a lot in this one also. The story was pretty dull and you can see obvious attempted misdirects in the story telling - when the plot seemed very obvious. I'm underwhelmed and generally bored all around. Maybe back in 2013 this was top notch... Maybe my bar is just to high these days. I recommended the Dark Descent, simply because its worth a play (on sale) if you have heard all the hype about these and always wanted to see what they were about... but I cannot recommend this, not even on sale. There are better things to play. I don't honestly feel I took anything away from this experience. I think my boyfriend said it best... "This game is the colour beige... Its so inoffensively boring"
Great Story dragged down by bad Storytelling and Gameplay
