Take the Truman Show, make it a whole city, and move it about twenty years forward. Fun game with a great story. Re-doing segments can get a little tiresome when they have the same dialogue over and over and over, but I'm not great at platforming and got through most of it well enough with a mouse and keyboard.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A great adventure with a twist and was really fun to play from two different perspectives. The ending felt a bit flat but then again it was a good story being told. Definitely Recommended for the fun XD!!!
Wish there was a middle option but I've gone with negative because it's a game that's unfortunately never quite as smart as it wants to be. The puzzles vary between obtuse and unexplained meaning a lot of the time you'll fail several times simply because there's no way you'd otherwise know what to do. The writing (avoiding spoilers) builds off of information it seems to have expected the player to have but appears to have been removed at some point. In general though everything has an annoying amount of "slowness" to it that can't be avoided. Cutscenes can't be skipped, you can't really "run" as Trevor (meaning in chase sequences you'll often get caught because you weren't frame perfect), as Angela pickups have to be interacted with to start voice lines but if you put it down it cancels the voice line (meaning you have to pick it up again). Overall I get what they wanted to do, but it was just a bit too ambitious and ends up more often annoying as a result.
好玩
Y'know… I was about to go on a rant about how this game is ESSENTIALLY The Truman Show but that they change a few things up a notch just to not make it so obvious and blah blah blah… But here's the problem: I DIDN'T watched The Truman Show… Partly because I'm a Gen Z-er who didn’t grew up with such "old" movies and also partly because the movie's premise didn't really seem to interest me that much, in the first place… However, in order to give a "good" review with a sound judgement, one NEEDS to understand the source material... So, what did I do? That's right. I WATCHED the entirety of the Truman show, whether I like it or not… And after watching it, yea, I can pretty much guarantee you that they REALLY took inspiration from that movie… So much so, that most of the game's plot points is literally akin to said movie like how they have the same plot point of the main character not knowing they're being in a "fake world" and is being streamed for views, the same plot point where the villain is kind of an a-hole towards the main character and wants to exploit them, and the same most ridiculous plot point about how the entire world is actually in on it to WANT to invade and watch a person's ENTIRE personal life for their amusement… But, I also find it interesting how they drastically add in/changed a few things up to make the story of this game set it apart from the game's source material like how there's essentially 2 main characters in this where one is essentially "Truman" who's discovering and escaping from this make-believe place and another being a girl who's helping this "Truman" character by being like this double agent and navigating around their sussypicious workplace that is profiteering off from this privacy invading show, how Trevor ISN'T the only one who doesn’t know they're in a fake world and being used for views, how the "set" takes place in an interesting retrofuture utopia that's basically their own version of Walt Disney's vision of this abandoned functioning futuristic city, how there's a bit of added lore being that there were people just like Trevor and had escaped from this privacy invading show before Trevor even came to the picture, and how it has some interesting plot twists here and there with one of it being essentially the same as Iron Man 3's plot twist… Even the gameplay is also kinda interesting and "unique" that I personally had never experienced before. Sure, it's LITERALLY just another one of those cinematic-puzzle-platformers… But they really add in their own style and stuff that helps it set apart from the others. Like, how the game transitions from this 2.5D joystick drifter stimulator platforming gameplay to then shift to a 3rd person puzzle gameplay. And, as per the usual 2.5D platformers, obviously there would be gameplay elements containing the usual push buttons, move boxes, climb stuff here and there, and the usual chase sequences that has some puzzle elements into it (which can be annoying to some) shenanigans BUT with the unique element of having a 3rd person camera perspective gameplay whereby you can control the environment to help your character to move around. Which is something kinda interesting, me thinks. And then, on the other hand, you sometimes would get into this 3rd person perspective gameplay moments that has its own interesting and memorable puzzle sections like this one "epic ADHD dual screening a TikTok video on one end of the screen while having another screen doing something else" gameplay, a "weird-ass sudoku-crossword puzzle thingy" gameplay, a "HIDE ALL EVIDENCE within the time limit" gameplay, and a literal "mime" gameplay where you cannot touch these invisible "walls", to name a few. And I think this set of uniqueness is what makes the story and the gameplay of this game quite "fresh", I'd say, till the point where it really made me be on my toes throughout the game since it's both really engaging in terms of gameplay and that I can’t really tell what would happen or become of the characters in terms of the story. But, as much praise I have for this game, I feel like there's some things about this game that's kinda off… Like, for one, there's this one weird bug where I was in a chase sequence in the sewers but somehow Marcus just outright disappears during that chase which kinda brakes the whole sequence and, after a while, the game just crashes on me... However, one big thing that I don’t really enjoy was pretty much how the ending of the story was executed… Now, don't get me wrong, I understand why they made the ending kinda "depressing" as it is. Cause, for one, odds are they just want to stray away from having the same ending as The Truman Show where they all lived "happily ever after" in the end, and two, this bittersweet ending kinda feels more "realistic" than The Truman Show, in a sense. Like, you're telling me a corporation as greedy and powerful as they are in this fictional world are gonna let it slide and lose at the end? Yea… it makes sense why the ending would be "depressing" or "different", in other words... But, really, I think the way they show off that "depressing ending" is just bad, in general. Like, you're telling me that throughout the game there's a lot of integrated animations and dialogues to convey the story but, for some reason, the ending of the game is just an EPIC ONE LINER QUOTE, 1 WALL OF TEXT, ANOTHER WALL OF TEXT, ROLL THE CREDITS, AND… An animated post-credits scene…? Like, bruh… It's as if they've just ran out of budget to animate an epilogue or some form of a scene transition after the depressing climax ending… In fact, I would even go as far as to say that the ending is LITERALLY the exact same thing as that one haha funny video of a guy shooting a gun, bad guy explodes, and then: walls of texts... Smh. Like, seriously, it got me questioning… Couldn't they just do some form of animation for the epilogue that SHOWS what would've the 2 walls of texts have told? Maybe try doing a walking montage gameplay that depicts the scenes that the 2 walls of text would've told that kinda mirrors the beginning of the game where there's this walking montage of Trevor going through his boring life…? BUT, NOPE! That didn’t happen… What ever happen to "show, don’t tell", hah? Especially when you literally have the word "cinematic" in your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ description? Smh. 🤨 In the end, though, I honestly still enjoyed it. Sure, it has some of those kinda annoying "puzzle-chase sequences" and, sure, it has an ending that's kinda poorly executed… But, overall, I'd say that it's a pretty "good" game with nicely engaging puzzle and platforming sections for a cinematic-puzzle-platformer and a pretty "good" story that's essentially an interesting reimagination of a story that's from an "old" movie! If you're one of those, like me, who's into short but sweet games, American Arcadia is something I would suggest for you to at least try it out!… But, probably when it's on sale…
