About
Developed by the creators of the groundbreaking Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator is the first simulation game in which you experience every aspect of a paramedic’s life. Your objective? Quickly reach the accident site at the wheel of your ambulance. Your mission? Take care of the injured and apply first aid. Each accident is different. It's up to you to adapt and make the right choices while being fast and efficient.

You have devoted yourself to saving the lives of the people on the West Coast of the United States. The city is comprised of 3 diverse Districts containing a variety of environments, including historic quarters, the business districts and industrial zones. Each neighborhood is different and can be the site of everyday accidents or major events. The citizens of San Pelícano have daily habits and activities, any of which can lead to new types of incidents.

As soon as dispatch calls the alarm, you must race to your ambulance, turn on your siren, and race to the site of the accident as quickly as possible. It will take all your driving skills to navigate the crowded streets and find the best route. Time is of the essence!

Once you reach the site of the accident, you must carefully analyze the situation to precisely determine the right treatment for each patient. Speak with them to learn about the circumstances of the accident and perform various necessary checks using the many instruments you have available and determine your initial diagnosis. Patients may react poorly to your methods if they have allergies, and some pre-existing conditions may complicate the treatment of otherwise simple issues. Most severe cases will then need to be moved into the ambulance and transported to the nearest hospital as quickly as possible. As you build your reputation, you will be assigned to new districts which have thrilling new situations and unlock new tools will be available in your ambulance.

Catastrophic events may occur during your shifts and you must rise to the occasion. During these extraordinary situations, the number of victims increase exponentially. Methodically examine your patients and triage their care according to the severity of their injuries. You will be confronted by moral dilemmas which will directly impact your patients' chances of survival. You will be responsible for difficult decisions—Try as you might, there will be times you can’t save everyone. Can you handle the pressure?
Explore 3 unique districts and intervene at the scene of the accidents, sometimes major catastrophes, that can occur there

This game is extremely bad. I'm a paramedic and no this game does not even sort of resemble actual EMS work. But beyond that it's just terrible. The game has you unlock more options as you gain experience (which is ridiculous for a 'simulator' already) but will put you in situations where you don't have the necessary tools to deal with them. Some of those tools seem completely absent from the game. I'm chastised at the end of a call for not addressing a patient's hypoglycemia when a) they had no complaints related to hypoglycemia and b) the game does not appear to include any of the several ways we have to deal with hypoglycemia. The assessments and medical realities of the calls do not remotely resemble real alarms and they do progress the way the might in real life. The game design is just bad. The UI is all over the place and never fully explains itself. You have a special minigame to dress a wound (which the game incorrectly describes as bandaging), but intubation is just something you can do with a click of a button (and is also misnamed). Your partner doesn't ever do anything but tell you you're messing up or freak out over what should be trivial changes in a patient's body temperature or heart rate. Many of the terms used in game are incorrect to the point of being almost funny (the game describes some lung sounds as 'cracks' instead of crackles, which still isn't the correct term--since you're using words like anamnesis you should probably go whole hog and use all the right terminology). You have to drive every patient with your partner in the back and when, say, their body temperature drops from 98.3 to 97.6 and you have to give your partner orders for what to do about it CPR is an option... yet when a patient actually codes during transport you don't get any treatment options at all, nor can you go back to the patient compartment to do any work. You just aren't allowed to address critical findings. There doesn't even appear to be any heart monitoring--the only ECG I've seen is a little animation that plays in the top right corner when a patient codes. Your questioning is basic and the characters can't even match their dialogue to their situation. There were a lot of advertisements about how the developers were working with real medics and we have something that's even less accurate than a medical soap opera and not even a tenth as entertaining. The game tells you after a call if you made a mistake, provides no feedback on what that mistake was, or tells you how to access the correct choice. Just a total mess.
Second what people with EMT / Paramedic experience say. the game is massively unrealistic. The calls you go to and then the scenarios they present. I would not be taking someone with "Stress" into hospital after my checks yet on the game in sticking IV's in, pumping them full of drugs with unrealistic outcomes. had so much potential but the devs seem like they have no medical experience whatsoever
Big Disappointment. If there was some kind of logic and clues showing you what you see and what is happening, this could have been a great game. But this feels like somebody vibe coded using a license for an nice engine some things they wanted to do in a setting nobody has worked on yet. Biggest waste of my money in a very very long time. DO NOT BUY!
Ich hatte sehr viel hoffnung das es endlich mal ein gutes Game für den Rettungsdienst gibt aber dieses Spiel ist einfach nur eine Beleidigung und der Größte dreck den ich je gesehen habe
I can regrettably say I pre-ordered this game in hopes that the devs kept up with it. But the game has not been updated in over a year since they released their first paid DLC. The game has so many glitches and performance issues that is borderline unplayable at times. I had really high hopes for the game since it is truly a one of a kind. As someone who works in healthcare, there arn't alot of "Realistic" medical games out there. So I was hopeful. But sadly I knew deep down this would happen. They will just continue to farm police simulator for all the money they can.
first not recommending review. the game seems really good but what made me refund it is that i could barely run it. the first time i loaded into the main menu it had like 30 fps on it and then it crashed. once i finally got into the game, looking around was glitchy as ♥♥♥♥ even with v sync on. i figured it was the amount of cars on the road because when i am driving to the callout i see about 100 bloody cars on the other side of the road, and that wasnt even the highest setting, there was an ultra setting and i couldnt even imagine what the hell that would look like. i didnt even finish the first ever callout because of how laggy it was. if it wasnt laggy i would probably play it alot.
At first, i thought this game would be a fun paramedic game but there's so many things wrong with it, such as, Graphics mostly suck on the game, i was averaging around 40 fps when my monitor is a 240 fps, quality also isn't good and the game just isn't fun, you're constantly getting blocked by npc's when you drive to a call. I don't recommend this game at all, definitely not worth the price.
.
