The Story So Far…
Amber Isle is down to its last remaining residents; the grumpy iguanodon Mayor Clawsworth, the peppy pteranodon courier Maple, and the mega-keen megalosaurus intern Adi. In a last-ditch attempt to revitalise Amber Isle, Mayor Clawsworth reluctantly agrees to let you open a shop. During your adventure, you’ll learn more about your new friends, the history of the island and how exactly it fell into disrepair…
So, what are you waiting for!?
Let's stock the shelves and dust the displays, because it's almost opening time for your brand new adventure on Amber Isle!

Bought this game on sale today at 75% off. I'm 5 hours in and only stopping because it's almost midnight. This game is excellent and I can't believe the quality of content I'm getting for under $10 AUD??? Even if it's all downhill from here, strongly recommend.
This game is very cute and fun. I could play all day just tinkering around in character creation. It is different enough from other cozy games that it stands out on its own.
the resolution is broken and only plays in square form and happens every time I open the game I have to change it... 1.10? Really? The camera controls are horrid too... why only have it vertically move? That creates no purpose... Otherwise, pretty good shop sim featuring dinosaurs. Would I recommend it? No. Everything about this game SCREAMS Day 1 Early Access. The building controls, the lazy animations, dinos clipping through the furniture, the loooooooongest dialogue... it's really a shame.
A lovely cozy game in which you can create your own dinosaur (or prehistoric mammal), befriend unique villagers, discover new biomes and characters, decorate the island, customize and manage your shop, grind materials, and pretty much focus on any part of the game that you feel like at that moment. You can focus on the story through quests, on grinding money with your shop, on finding and inviting as many villagers as fast as possible, or get lost in decorating the entire island. It offers great freedom and a nice balance of chilling and hustling. The overall soft, cartoony vibe is lovely in both the sound effects and the visuals. I always get so excited when I find a new villager and show how the species is portrayed in the game to my boyfriend, who is obsessed with dinosaurs, and then we debate what we think of the design. There are a few bugs, but nothing game-breaking, and the devs put out updates with fixes every now and then. Overall, I definitely recommend this one! (It's also lovely on the Steam Deck, but be aware that the selection and rotation button (right joystick) are the same in the character creator) There's only one thing that really bothers me, and that is that some trees and stuff I seem to be unable to remove, and it's just really impractical because they can block houses in strange ways, so I would be very happy if the devs would change that!
Bon petit jeu cozy. aucun bug
) verarbeiten. Habe bereits sooo viele Rezepte gekauft, nichts funktioniert. Ich bin wirklich verärgert. Hatte noch jemand dieses Problem? Hat jemand eine Lösung? Bitte um Hilfe
Amber Isle is a casual game that mixes store ownership simulation with making friendships with various dinosaurs. The game is split between running your store where you sell things you make for money and then running around the island meeting new friends while cleaning up the place to make it more desirable for other dinos to move into. Overall, I probably got a good 28 hours of chill gameplay. The character designs are fun and varied and really are the star of the show! The personalities were fun and the dialogue was done so well that I could really picture these dinos as real three dimensional characters. I did sometimes wish there was more depth to the friendships however. Things like personality traits and preferences never really came up much. I would have liked something else like a gossip option so villagers could talk about other villagers or the ability to receive casual letters in the mail from the dinos I'm good friends with. I think I only received like five letters through the whole game. The best feature of the game is how the passage of time is handled. Time doesn't pass between the four stages of the day (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) until you cross the threshold between town center and the rest of the island. This helps keep things relaxed and avoids the stressors of other games like Stardew Valley where the late game is riddled with moments where you're rushing through the map as fast as possible to squeeze every last second out of the day. This game doesn't suffer from that. You can have a pretty relaxed time which is probably the best decision the game developers made. I was a little puzzled by the seasons and weather though. It could be raining or snowing or windy, but there didn't seem to be any changes in gameplay because of it. Villagers didn't react to it like pulling out umbrellas or staying indoors or even commenting about the weather all that much. It was more a visual change than an actual thing that was happening in game. And I beat the game without even getting past spring which again I don't know what the seasons even do. Like are there unique resources during different seasons? I'm not sure, but there wasn't really enough content to keep me going to find out. I tapped out the store's level long before the game was over which meant I kept on getting more experience, but not unlocking anything. And that kind of sucked. I felt like the features of the store were incomplete. Like I wouldn't mind unlocking a late game doormat to reduce footprints or something that automatically restocks shelves or how about an entry fee to really milk those dinos for all the amber they're worth?! There are special items you can get to increase the value of certain items, but even those left a very small impact on my fun. Around hour twenty, things were starting to become a little unstable. Nothing game crashing, but I had my character turn invisible several times which was thankfully easily fixed with a quick reset. However the biggest and most frustrating bug I experienced was new recipes just stopped appearing after I unlocked them. As much as I would love to continue playing to mop up the last of the completionist achievements it's hard to get the "Complete All Side Quests" achievement, when I literally CAN'T because the crafting recipe I need didn't appear after I unlocked it. Despite that big flaw, it's a fun little game to play. I recommend it if you like games like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley
