Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 8 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I liked my time with the game, but I do feel there are some really glaring problems, not something to fully damn the game but things that I hope if they ever continue the franchise the polish up to make something much better. The puzzle, exploration on the assylum and like story are good, hell I really liked how when you play as Emily she starts rather blaze about things and just gets more exasperated as things continue to get weirder, to the point she can't really deny that things are just in her head and just begins to accept that there is something supernatural. But the combat, it really feels just kinda meh most of the time, while the stealth just kinda feels like it was tacked on. There just isn't much real tactics while playing, no strategizing around your way around resources. And the exploration on the other worlds feels rather linear. I would had love if the game was more focused on revisiting the different other worlds as you found key items and tools to explore them further and while making the combat a bit more focused on strategy rather and just outright slugfests. I truly hope if the studio gets a new chance at Alone in the Dark they manage to work on those aspects, because the foundations of an amazing game are there.

Starts interesting, ends with a solid “what the hell was that? Oh, ok”. The story pulls you in, but kinda forgets to explain itself. Gameplay is very average overall: combat feels clunky, movement is stiff, and exploration is pretty limited. The puzzles are decent, but honestly they’re doing a lot of the work to keep things engaging. Atmosphere is actually pretty good, no cheap jump scares, but don’t expect real horror either. Technically it’s fine… until you notice the pop-in everywhere. Not a bad game, just a very forgettable one. Worth picking up cheap if you want something short to finish over a weekend.
