About
Allumeria takes a classic voxel sandbox and combines it with in-depth progression through exploration, dungeon crawling and boss battles. You will constantly be discovering new weapons, abilities, resources, enemies, structures, mechanics and tools. The game has a strong focus on discovery and creative freedom.
Allumeria provides advanced building tools not present in other games. You can change the shape of any block on the fly. Want glass stairs? Want a dirt fence? You can do it! Allumeria has a full RGB light engine. Create dimly lit cozy cabins, or bright neon cities. Monsters only spawn on natural blocks, so you are free to experiment with dark and light! The Paint Roller allows you to paint ANY block in the game, with no limitations. Want to use bricks, but grey isn't your style? Just paint them blue! Multiple palettes are available, from colourful, to earthy, to pastel.
Allumeria focuses on providing an in-depth experience for every biome. Your story starts in the forest biome, and you will travel to other biomes in a quest to become more powerful. Each biome has brand new resources, enemies, mechanics, dungeons and bosses, top to bottom. A single biome represents an entire new chapter of your story, not just a new grass colour.
Allumeria has a simple but diverse combat system. As you progress, more abilities and weapons open up. Start with simple swords and crossbows, then expand your arsenal with explosive bombs, shock arrows, fart guns, snowball cannons, boomerangs, shuriken launchers, frying pans, baguettes, and a myriad of other wacky items. You will uncover equippable trinkets that expand your movement abilities, allowing you to sprint, granting regeneration, gliding, flying, jumping and climbing.
Allumeria is an Early Access game. This means the game is going to continue being updated with new content and fixes to improve it even more, with community feedback in mind. The game has already been shaped by many peoples ideas, suggestions and bug reports, and it will continue to improve with your help. The game is already packed full of content, but there is so, so much room to grow.

what if terraria and minecraft had a child and that child was actually better than both parents in every single way? that is Allumeria 15/10.
So much potential here :) Looking forward to the full game

Rough around the edges, but Allumeria is a very solid take on "minecraft + terraria" I got 100% achievements at 7 hrs played, and I was very slow at times. Lastly, the game ran perfectly for me; was at max fps the whole time.
I stumbled across this game via a YouTube video a while back. It seemed worth keeping an eye on and I'm glad that I did. Allumeria is a fusion of Minecraft and Terraria that, for me, has the perfect blend of Minecraft's simple coziness and Terraria's more engaging mechanics. Its a game that has that Minecraft look and feel, but mechanically feels a lot snappier and in depth. You don't need to click on a crafting table to use it, only standing next to one. Meaning if you line up all of your crafting tables you only need to open your inventory to use all of them at once. You do not need to craft stairs, slabs, fences, etc. as the game allows you to place basically any block you want as any form. You can also find paint rollers that change the color of blocks. It makes building a decent looking house far faster than it ever was in Minecraft. Tools do not lose durability, which makes cave exploring feel faster and more fun. There's a lot of different kinds of weapons and little items that can be found. Players only lose money on death, not their inventory. The game borrows accessories from Terraria, meaning you can directly upgrade your character with different buffs. It makes progression feel tangible and lets you customize how you want to play that much more. Villager NPCs are also here from Terraria. You need to house them in order to buy and sell items. I did not engage with the NPCs much, as I didn't really find it necessary to. It's still a feature I think is really fun though. I did find that the NPCs could randomly just disappear and I'd have to relocate them to the same house in order for them to disappear. They're definitely not finished. Also, again similar to Terraria, there's also loads of potions. Including a potion that returns you to your set spawn point. I cannot tell you how good it feels to go down into a large cave with a pickaxe that doesn't break followed by using a potion to go home when your inventory is full. It's so much less tedious. Potions can be crafted via stuff you get from farming, but I did not choose to do any farming since I got enough from caves and didn't feel like figuring out how to get a farm set up. There is also a circuit system similar to Redstone for those who enjoy that. I do not. The world is not infinite and there are three biomes in each one, each with their own dungeon and boss. You get to the highest armor tier you can before fighting a boss. The two biomes following the forest each have an ore that's stronger than the previous one. Progression is very straight forward if you played these kinds of games before. I didn't find the bosses too difficult, however I did find searching for the entrance to the snow dungeon to be very annoying. Allumeria is a game that feels very small, but very tight. And I really hope it stays that way. I really only think this game needs another biome or two, each with its own boss, and then just polish up and expand on what's already there. I feel like so many sandbox games have an overwhelming amount of content and are always expanding. Terraria has had like 2 or 3 "final" updates at this point and there's so much stuff in that game that makes it feel complicated and inaccessible. Minecraft is great but the game has expanded so much that it feels a lot more bloated. Hytale is also very promising, but that will also very likely become a much, much larger game over time. I find that Allumeria balances a sense of progression and being a sandbox very well, all while being very easy to grasp. I really hope the dev continues to maintain that balance and create a game that's far less over bloated than other games in the genre. It's early access, so it is buggy and not completely finished, but I do feel that I can in good faith recommend this to anyone who wants a new Minecraft alternative. I look forward to playing more as new updates release.
i wanna give a more detailed review but i've procrastinated on this long enough game good. pla y
This game is fantastic and I really hope it gets the attention and support it deserves so it can continue to a full release with additional content. I binged the available content with a group of 3 in multiplayer and after we got through the "Minecraft/Terraria but" jokes, we kept playing and every moment you could feel the developer's love for this genre, hoping to make their mark. After beating the last available boss we finally decided to turn in at 4AM and are excited to see what the devs have in store for the future. That being said there were two rather serious bugs in multiplayer I feel could throw people off the game, like a known issue where a client transferring items to an inventory and having the host open it could send all your hard earned items into the shadow realm. Requiring everyone to manually put items in chests one stack at a time made inventory management a slog and was honestly the only thing that made me want to put the game down and wait for a patch. Also we noticed that if you were changing the shape of blocks and one of the other people in the session switched their equipped item, it would reset your block selection back to default. I know there are warnings that multiplayer is buggy right now, and there were other more manageable syncing issues, I just wanted to highlight these specific ones as something that could turn away players and should absolutely be focused on as a high priority issue to keep people interested and sharing this gem with their friends. Keep it up, I will for sure be coming back for the 1.0 release party
