Game constantly stutters. I’ve uninstalled it and verified the integrity of the files and lowered my graphics to the bare minimum and to stutters to the point where it’s unplayable. Would love to play this game but it has some kinks to work out.
I recently finished playing this game, saw the credits at least. It is quite impressive what this tiny team of two developers have achieved! One thing they especially did well was to put development efforts precisely where it seems to matter most. While the game does not stretch for long, it has excellent HOTAS / HOSAS support as well as a VR mode that i havent tried. characters are just engaging enough to be able to drive the story forward, but it is not something the game forces you to spend much time on, so it never overstays its welcome. I did wonder by the mid game what happened to a specific character that departs. Gameplay wise, there is just the right amount of complexity here for a really solid package! I like managing my shield strength for each of the 4 quadrants, and it feels nice to be able to direct more power to a specific part of the ship. I barely have any critique for this, it just feels like a nice tight game, and it succeeds in what it tries to do: Being an arcadey space dog fight simulator with spectacle and and a skillset to master. I could certainly wish for a longer game, more features and all that jazz, and i am sure many would agree that different weapons + and upgrade system would be a nice addition, but not without adding further scope creep to a game that is already a really big and amazing feat when you remember this was made by two people! I will 100% keep an eye out for their next game in the series, and i have noticed this is already underway!
very fun game if you like starfox type combat the only thing i wish was for more combat indications for example maybe some kind of cockpit alarm letting you know an enemy has a missile lock on you and the story characters should of had voices
I really enjoyed this, but sadly I'm terrible at it. Really good game if this is your kind of thing and the price, you can't go wrong. Alliance Peacefighter / A Top Quality VR Space Sim?? https://youtu.be/MELMdv3pGRE
A lovely if somewhat limited homage to X-Wing. Dogfighting is pretty much point and shoot with no in-battle chatter or plot. Still, MORE X-Wing is better than no X-wing would recommend this
I find myself laughing and crying with the characters. The story is decent and the characters have all their quirks and flaws. it's a nice flying game (I play with mouse and keyboard). I like it for what it is!
I reallly enjoyed this. The gameplay is simple but fun, dogfighting with some lateral and vertical thrust added in. The ships handle well, it's pretty (enough), it's lightweight and runs well. You get into the action very quickly and the missions aren't excessively long, which makes it a great game to pick up and play whenever you like. The story is fine. Some minor issues: the enemies are not particularly difficult, and the "bumper cars" physics of running into other ships looks and feels kind of ... silly. But my most serious complaint is about the music, which is flat out terrible. The best tracks are repeititive, uninspired and incredibly simple, while the worst are too irritating to even listen to (I had to turn them of, which is something I almost never do).
Really good x-wing like! The combat feels good and the music is exceptional. The story is servicable. Its a great little game! It does feel samey towards the end though. The fights get very long without getting harder, and the lack of enemy varieties adds to that. Its a brilliant foundation for future games though, I hope there are more in the future!
