Developer abandoned the game, and now is selling an apparently fixed game with no real differences. What a slap in the face.
No game in my game. There's no tutorial, no hotkey list. Tried figuring it out on my own but gave up after trying to plant a seed multiple times and failing.
This 2D farming and crafting game really caught my eye at first. The pixel art style looks great, and the whole concept of building up a profitable farm with roguelike elements seems super interesting. I was actually pretty excited to jump in and start planting crops and breeding animals. Unfortunately, that excitement faded pretty fast because I honestly had no clue what to do. There is absolutely no tutorial and no explanation for the mechanics. You are just dropped in without any guidance on how to use the UI or even do the basic stuff like collecting resources. What makes it worse is the stance the developer has taken on this. I saw a discussion board post where a player specifically asked if a tutorial was planned to teach the basics. The developer responded that there are "no plans to add a tutorial" and essentially told players to go read a guide made by someone else in the community. The game released over three years ago back in late 2022, so it feels incredibly careless that they still have not bothered to add a proper tutorial. It is especially frustrating when you realize the developer actually released another game just last year with a very similar style. Instead of improving the onboarding for their existing player base, they just moved on to the next project. Relying on your players to teach other players how to play your game is just frustrating design. It is a shame because the foundation looks solid, but I cannot recommend a game that refuses to explain its own mechanics to new players.
I liked the game for a few runs but Its been abandoned by developers to release a sequel that is the same exact game
I don't like when game throws 100% content IMMEDIATELY on first run and forces me to learn everything myself. How am i supposed to figure out what to do, while there is killer-timer? If i do something wrong and waste time - i lose, but in order to not lose you have to already know what exactly last week quota is and what late-game resources you should aim at. The other problem is, each day you repeat same actions: reloading furnaces, collecting honey, taking crafted boards and polished stone from respective building, then recharge it all with new items - repeat next day. I got really annoyed after 15 days. RNG events - on my first run a meteor dropped, killing half my farm fields, scarecrow and all honey makers. Pretty much all i built. And then random reward choice gave me $25k for free which ruins early-mid game balance as you have enough to just straight up pay first 3 quotas. Overall i dod not liked it, you should never throw all content at player at once and expect him to figure all out in a hour. Instead of playing gonna watch some YouTube walktroughs, maybe second game will be more mature and properly designed.
Had an absolute blast with this game, Took a minute to get used to and understand the mechanics, due to the lack of a tutorial. But overall is a great game for someone who likes mindless tasks and/or slow paced gameplay. A few things to mention. There is no automation, making you do everything by yourself click by click, which can get a bit tedious after awhile. (You HAVE to click, you can not hold down a button.) Also with the lack of automation and the exponential increase in rent you have to supply, each day becomes longer than the last and for better or worse, the day only saves once you move to the next day, so at times a 10+ minute day has to be completed in one sitting. Overall, this game quickly became one of my favorites and a comfort game for me, and i highly recommend to anyone who is a fan on the genre!
TLDR: Fun for a while, but kind of annoying on the achievement end. For the price I think it's absolutely worth picking up if you are a fan of the genre and like these sorts of strategy/management games. It's a fun time figuring out all the mechanics for the first time and progressing through the endgame. My biggest issue comes from the very lategame where you are just trying to grind out the achievements... unfortunately the balance is kind of bad in this game and from my playthroughs at least there was no feasible way to beat the combination of energy gain + relentless fishing. It got a bit boring farming up to the 10,000,000 and 1000 days achievements because it was so samey. I understand not everyone is an achiev goblin like me so for the avg player I think their experience will just be positive- pick it up when you want to and take it slow type of game. The price for the hours of content you get is absolutely undeniable though. It's definitely worth the money, just tread lightly if you're a big completionist.
korean plz..
It is fun to play once or twice, but more than that feels repetitive.
This game really needs a tutorial, either that or I'm too dumb to understand half of what's going on.
