About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

From the very start of the first mission, I could already tell how much work this game still needs. **Issue #1: Poor Optimization** The game does not seem well optimized. Performance is inconsistent, and it seriously affects the experience. **Issue #2: Random Freezing** I'm experiencing freezing and stuttering just walking down a hallway with absolutely nothing happening around me. There's no major combat or anything else that should be causing such a significant performance drop. **Issue #3: Gameplay** So far, the gameplay hasn't been very engaging. Nothing about the combat or general gameplay has really grabbed my attention or made me want to keep playing. **Issue #4: Starting Area** I personally dislike the starting area. It doesn't make a particularly strong first impression and isn't an interesting introduction to the game. I don't know if we changed areas, but I don't recall the starting area being so blah. **Issue #5: Reused Assets** I've already noticed reused assets, which makes parts of the game feel less original and polished. **Issue #6: Abilities Are Unreliable** Abilities either don't work properly or seem to decide for themselves when they want to work. This makes combat frustrating, especially when you're relying on an ability and it simply doesn't activate. And now we've encountered the game's newest faction: **the actual game bugs.** The game clearly still needs work. I'm going to update this review as I continue playing and will reconsider it once the developers fix some of these issues.

cool
AI companion are stupid on higher difficulty. Hard to find Coop partners
This game is just like the first one but better! -4 players -More maps -Larger Maps -New Class system is more fun than the first one Cons The game is new so they are still working on fixing some bugs and glitches we are encountering
it improves upon the first game, with more xenos, and synths. The skills feel cool to use. The diffulty has been upped with bigger hordes of enemies. All in all a good time.

I will start by saying this game is a lot of fun and I have enjoyed most of it so far. However, I do not recommend it to anyone unless they're ok with the caveats that fun comes with. The first big issue is the bugs. The game has dozens of bugs that bring down the whole experience. Getting stuck behind doors, getting stuck in animations, and getting stuck in general with your character unable to move. The audio regularly desyncs or glitches out entirely. You cannot interact with items unless you have reloaded your weapon first. Unable to switch weapons while aboard the Endeavour. Waves not ending in horde mode, forcing you to quit. The list goes on, I'm sure anyone reading the reviews will have seen plenty of other examples. Many of these are obvious bugs that should never have released in the final build of a game without being spotted, which is a real shame. The second big issue is the overall polish. The writing is atrocious. It has some of the most millennial cringe writing I have heard in a long time and I recommended everyone just skip through these as fast as possible. Every single character is incredibly annoying and unlikeable and its all in service of a story you've heard a dozen times before in the Alien franchise alone. The cutscenes are horrendous, the animation is incredibly stiff and for some reason they're low resolution, low frame rate and letterboxed. They remind me of the cutscenes Aliens Colonial Marines had at launch. Character animations are also wildly over expressive to the point it's uncanny. I have no idea how any of this was signed off on and it makes me think the new publisher rushed the game to launch. I think even if most of these issues are smoothed out, the game will still be a janky experience. Finally some of the Alien franchise most iconic sound effects just aren't present in the game and it's a real shame. A lot of the sound design from the previous game also seems to have been changed, and largely for the worst. Now, despite all that, I still give the game a positive review. That is because, underneath the problems, there is an excellent co-op shooter here. When it works, it refines everything about the gunplay from the first game and builds upon it. The traits and augment switching for weapons is a particular highlight. The build crafting in this game is excellent, allowing you to mix and match different modules to make a class suit your preferred play style. This is especially true of the Specialist which is unlocked later in the game. If the game looks fun to you, you have a few friends to play it with, and you can overlook the problems here, then you might find a lot to love. However, I think for most people, waiting a couple of weeks/months for them to rollout the patches and iron out the issues is likely the best course of action.
