About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

Reviews
i mean its alright, bit buggy because it just released. I also stand with what other reviews say that the game plays like its worth $30 instead of $50
PROS: upgrade system is unique and Alien vibes are pretty good. CONS: terrible storyline/dialogue. standard difficulty full campaign takes 10 hours

Game is a lot of fun, but has some issues. Short version: A fun co-op game with a great upgrade/progression system. Unfortunately, at time of writing there is a plethora of bugs that can break the game. Most of the NPC dialogue is so bad it shatters immersion. Long version The good: The game is MOST fun when you have a dedicated group to play this with. If you're looking for a great co-op game look no further. But please, read on. Very fun game play Excellent upgrade system. If you like min/maxing character builds and skills you'll have a lot of fun. Decent enemy variety A lot of character customization options. Fun in game references to other nerdy media. Now... The bad: Current state of the game is very buggy. There are frequent crashes, disconnects, and bugs that can immediately halt your progress, or cause you to restart a mission. The dialogue in the story is horrendous. I would be shocked to learn if it wasn't AI generated. Some of the chatter is so bad it immediately ruins the immersion. The only good NPC is Wrench with his bird facts.. I've played the game quite a bit. While I do recommend it, I do urge readers in with caution because there's a lot going on with it atm.
I liked it for a little while, but after the novelty of seeing Aliens crawling on the walls has worn off I'm feeling disappointed. A graphical upgrade would've gone a long way to make this purchase worth it, but the game has the same jank from the first one and looks like a ps4 game. The combat encounters do feel better with enemies approaching from different angles. I don't think it's necessarily the same as the first, but since then we've had helldivers 2. Theres nothing equivalent to calling down airstrikes meaning this sequel doesn't really add anything new to the formula. It's a cool Aliens game, but it's gets repetitive pretty quickly. I don't think there are enough variables in the encounters to make things unpredictable on multiple playthroughs.

Little jank but I liked it.

This game doesnt deserve the hate it got... its a building block from the first FTE which has alot of potential. Squad play is tight and intense as it should be - worth a chance if the hours are invest as it does get better the more you play it.
Gameplay wise, if you liked the first game you'll like this one! The story is... Modern. Basically, you're butch commander wants you to save her gang of lesbians that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around and found out. Now they gotta send a man (Me) to save them and they talk ♥♥♥♥ to you when you save them... Because that's what modern women do :P if you don't want to see their cringe cutscenes you can skip them and play the game and just tune their yapping out. Game runs smooth on controller but I noticed slight stuttering when using mouse and keyboard when looking around quickly.
I will probably change my review some time later, but here's what I got for now. As of this comment, the game's not really doing anything super innovative or crazy- in fact, it feels more like a Fireteam Elite 1.5 than a full sequel. Sure, there's more aliens and the attachment/perk system is more streamlined, but the game doesn't have a lot of difference with weapons or enemies (but there are a small chunk more, which still is a step in the right direction), it has enemies clipping, there's WAY too many quips, and there's the occasional hitch in framerate. Let's not forget the unskippable cutscenes/dialogue, given to us through characters with sometimes very off-putting facial animations (Here's to you, Wrench). The good things I can say about this game: It's more atmospheric, and it's a step up in difficulty- no longer can you just blast a whole room instantly and not worry about health, there's hordes and hordes of enemies all moving differently, and they're all attacking you with different timing/varieties. Good reason to stay moving, and have some variance in your gear. I'd love to have a more challenging and complex Fireteam Elite once this game gets more polished (we can be hopeful), but for now I'd recommend just playing the first game instead.
