About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

Very much enjoying Fireteam Elite 2
there are bugs in this game, every hat I wear my hair pokes through it as if I'm not wearing a hat, or my hair floats off of my head, it's funny, I didn't even notice it because I was too busy blowing up xenos, sometimes there's glitches, but the game itself is honestly a lot of fun, the dialogue is bad but it's supposed to be, even the guy that cracks ♥♥♥♥♥♥ jokes laughs at everyone being mad at his jokes being bad, that's jsut how the humor is, demanding every single game have oscar worthy performances and genre breaking mechanics is old and tired rhetoric, the game is fun, shoot xenos, a lot of them, blow everything up, get headshot by a sniper you didn't see and go WTF??? and then blow up more bugs, there are things that need fixed, but most of these negative comments are people chasing the high of nostalgia and people mad that women exist, play the game or don't, report the bugs to the devs so they can fix them if you do play.

This is genuinely a fun game. If you enjoy co-op horde shooters with class grinding you will enjoy this. This game's good qualities come from its gameplay and customization. It's bad qualities come from an almost definitely AI written storyline. The game looks good, performs well, and still remains with some minor bugs (it was a mess on release, but most issues have been sorted out), but overall worth the purchase even at full price in my book.
Il est vraiment très bon comparé à son grand frère. Je conseille fortement !
游戏很不错,氛围确实很有电影那味儿。不过感觉更像是 1.5 版,而不算真正意义上的续作。

Great sequel (evolution?) to the original AFE. FTE2 offers a more streamlined player experience, and one way this is achieved is by cutting down the number of weapons and amalgamating the original Marine classes/kits into new ones. This is balanced out by adding meaningful and enjoyable weapon options through Traits and Augments, as well as the new Specialist class. The Specialist is a particularly great addition, allowing you to cross-kit abilities and traits from the fixed Marine kits — as long as you've unlocked them first. This gives you a lot of room to experiment with Specialist builds on the Endeavor, then take them into the field or Horde Mode to test and refine them. Want to make a ridiculously powerful tank Specialist? An uber-Medic? You can. I'm currently experimenting with a Specialist running the Rumble Sentry with Electrical Field (Machinist class) for slowing groups of approaching Xenos, combined with Stasis Bolts for locking down priority targets (Hunter class). Together they provide excellent area control — slowing the horde while giving me the ability to single out and immobilise anything particularly nasty. It's a really satisfying way to control the flow of a fight. The trade-off is that this build sacrifices some raw damage output, so I need a Marauder or another high-damage Marine in the Fireteam to complement it — another good example of why team synergy and how your builds work together really matters. You can also level up Marine classes faster once you've unlocked each class's 10% XP boost perk (universal), then stack them onto the class you are levelling - really handy. I really appreciate the level and set design of Stoor's Boon. It feels eerily familiar to Hadley's Hope from Aliens — Cold Iron have absolutely nailed the frontier-colony aesthetic. The level design also makes much better use of verticality: overbridges, stairwells, looking down into areas you're heading towards, and seeing Xenos gathering and climbing towards you is really cool. The gameplay loop still works and is enjoyable: move through an area, fight increasingly large groups of Xenos, Synths, etc., defend or activate something, survive, and keep pushing forward. And that's ultimately why I think this is a great sequel. It's essentially the same game, but with more targeted customisation, four-player co-op — a huge positive, giving you more firepower and better opportunities for team synergy — and greater enemy variety. I'll mention the level design again, because it really does make a difference. It's no longer as simple as "hold this choke point." The Xenos (and the devs) are smarter, so you have to be smarter, too. When I first saw a Xeno Warrior quickly sidestep my firing line and attempt to flank me, I was genuinely impressed! Being able to crouch and melee are also meaningful additions, and some weapons now have selectable fire modes. These are options that simply weren't in the original AFE and add more depth to the moment-to-moment gameplay. Another thing I really like is how the challenge cards and consumable items have been handled. Challenge cards are no longer randomised with one card selected for the mission — they're all applied. Loads better. Likewise, sentries, grenades, mines, etc. (consumables) are unlocked once through purchase and are then available to take on missions. Again, loads better. Overall, there's better progression and replayability through the combination of classes, weapons, perks, abilities, weapon progression, challenge modifiers, consumables and, perhaps most importantly, build experimentation. There are technical problems and bugs, but these will hopefully be ironed out and, at least for me, they aren't game-breaking. A patch is also due to address some of these issues at the time of writing. To be honest, I don't have the same gripes with the NPC scripting that many others have pointed out. Rather than having a token or stereotypical army grunt who simply gives and takes orders, the different NPCs actually have their own personalities, quirks and attitudes. It's another small but welcome way the game adds variety and makes the world feel a little more alive. I think Cold Iron have again tried to evolve the NPC's from original AFE. Overall, I'm really enjoying it. Is it a true sequel, or more of an evolution of AFE? Maybe a bit of both. But for me, that's not necessarily a bad thing. It takes what worked in the original, streamlines and expands it, and adds more than enough new systems and options to make me want to keep playing.
Fan of the first, lots of good things going on here despite what reviews are saying. I am excited to see what they have down the pipeline.
