Игра вообще не запускается. Сразу фатальная ошибка и все. Один раз дошло до заставки и вылетело также... Неиграбельный мусор
It is just a unplayable rubbish, I have it for a long time, since the very first day it never did play, it always crashes on opening it. I only kept it because I thought an update over the months could fix the issues, which never happened. Don't waste your money and time, if I ONLY KNEW.....
Negative: Many issues on Meta Quest 3. Steam link causes fatal error on launch. Air link cause fatal error if motion controllers are used. The only way it worked was using Air link + gamepad. Positive: Game is fun to play, nice environment, especially later in the game. Loved the cat. Got 5 hours of fun, spending only 80cents or so on sale.
Motion based controllers crash the game but standard gamepads do not. Make sure motion controllers are fully deactivated as you start. The first startup won't crash right away, but crashes will happen sooner and sooner as you restart. Use only standard gamepads such as an Xbox controller, PlayStation controller, etc. and the crashes will stop. On a Quest, to avoid touch controller recognition, connect to the PC using meta airlink, and NOT the steam link app, as your hands will now currently act as motion controllers with steam app by default. Alice VR will be added to the programs menu in meta airlink if you start it once, then within the meta airlink library you can start Alice VR with the gaze reticle and the A button on the Xbox controller connected directly to the PC. I don't see any reason a developer skilled enough to make a game like AliceVR couldn't program AliceVR to actively discard all motion inputs, then prompt you to grab a gamepad at the start. I've seen VR games prompt to grab a standard controller at least once before. I did not see any reason snap-turning couldn't be added as a non-default option.
ALICE VR is a VR exclusive puzzle game with a lot of problems. Of course we're making Lewis Carroll spin in his grave here, once more less than stellar developers are busy abusing the public domain. Maybe Disney was right about abolishing it all along. It might stop things like this happening, but probably not. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. From my experience with the game, it's somewhat bug riddled and has design/implementation/stability problems that will render this unplayable for many gamers. The game doesn't work well with, well, most VR headsets and it's an unpolished, bug riddled mess, with black screens, crashes, and stuff, well, just not working. It's not really in a fit state to be sold on Steam. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. ALICE VR didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is "Down the rabbit hole", for starting the game, trivial to get, but less than 16 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, even the people who own this game weren't interested in it. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? ALICE VR has the laughable price of around $10 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "Mirror's Edge", "Final Fantasy XIV Online" or "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.

ALICE VR, developed by Carbon Studio and published by Klabater, is an ambitious science fiction adventure that reimagines the themes of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland within a futuristic, otherworldly setting. The game places the player in the role of an astronaut awakened from cryosleep on a starship stranded near a desolate planet called Speculo. Tasked with descending to the planet to locate vital resources, the player soon discovers that Speculo’s abandoned city hides far more than industrial ruins. Strange shifts in gravity, perspective, and scale blur the line between physical reality and dreamlike distortion. Although ALICE VR can be played without a headset, its design and atmosphere are tailored specifically for virtual reality, emphasizing exploration and immersion over action. The result is a cerebral and often surreal experience that seeks to combine classic science fiction storytelling with the wonder and disorientation of a virtual “rabbit hole.” From the beginning, the game draws the player into a visually rich yet eerie environment. The world of Speculo is composed of futuristic architecture and alien landscapes, creating a fusion of sterile sci-fi minimalism and abstract surrealism. The planet’s empty streets and vast metallic corridors give the sensation of traversing an environment that has been both abandoned and reshaped by some unseen intelligence. One of ALICE VR’s defining features is its manipulation of spatial perception. Players can walk on walls, shift gravity to navigate ceilings, or use machines that shrink or enlarge their size to solve puzzles. These mechanics are more than simple gimmicks; they become integral to the sense of otherworldly discovery that the developers intended. In virtual reality, these effects feel particularly striking—the ability to literally look down from a wall or perceive one’s surroundings from a miniature perspective adds an unusual layer of immersion that few VR games attempt. The sense of scale is constantly shifting, and that instability reinforces the sensation of stepping into a distorted, dreamlike world. Gameplay in ALICE VR is centered around exploration, environmental puzzles, and gradual narrative discovery. The player navigates through a sequence of connected zones, unlocking new paths and uncovering fragments of the story through terminals and logs scattered across the environment. The puzzles are generally physics- or perspective-based, requiring players to manipulate gravity fields, activate devices, or adjust their own size to access previously unreachable areas. While none of the challenges are overly complex, their design fits the pacing of the game, allowing players to appreciate the environment without becoming bogged down by difficulty spikes. The experience feels meditative at times, relying more on observation and curiosity than reflex or speed. The VR implementation encourages players to move slowly, examine their surroundings, and feel present within the alien architecture. However, this deliberate pacing also makes the game feel slower when played without VR, where some of its magic inevitably diminishes. The story that underpins ALICE VR attempts to weave themes of isolation, artificial intelligence, and perception into a modern reinterpretation of the Alice mythos. The player’s journey down to Speculo becomes a metaphorical descent into an unknown world of illusions and altered rules, where questions of reality and identity begin to surface. Voiceover dialogue from the ship’s AI provides narrative guidance and occasional exposition, but the majority of the storytelling relies on environmental clues and data logs. The fragmented storytelling style gives players room for interpretation, though some may find it too vague to feel satisfying. The concept of drawing parallels between a stranded astronaut’s mission and Alice’s descent into Wonderland is clever, yet the execution occasionally struggles to maintain a strong emotional or thematic throughline. The game succeeds at generating intrigue and atmosphere, but the conclusion feels abrupt, leaving some of its most intriguing ideas unresolved. Technically, ALICE VR is impressive for its time but not without flaws. The visual design is striking, with strong use of lighting, color, and perspective to build its surreal tone, yet the graphics can occasionally feel uneven, particularly in non-VR mode where the sense of depth and presence is lost. The performance on VR headsets varies depending on hardware, and some players experience discomfort during sequences that involve walking on walls or rapid shifts in gravity. These disorienting transitions, while thematically fitting, can trigger motion sickness, a common issue for early VR experiments. Sound design, however, is consistently strong—the ambient soundtrack and subtle mechanical noises enhance the feeling of exploring a quiet, deserted world where reality itself seems unstable. Voice acting is serviceable and helps sustain immersion during the more abstract segments. While ALICE VR’s ambition is undeniable, its reception has been divided largely because its creative ideas outpace its technical execution. The game’s approximately four to five-hour runtime feels appropriate for its experimental nature, but it leaves players wanting a deeper narrative payoff or more polished mechanics. Those expecting a tight, story-driven adventure may find its pacing uneven and its conclusion unsatisfying. However, players who approach it as an exploratory experience—one focused on immersion, spatial experimentation, and atmosphere—will likely find much to appreciate. It captures a sense of discovery that few VR titles attempt, making players feel both dwarfed by and connected to the alien environments around them. In essence, ALICE VR is a fascinating and flawed experiment that embodies both the potential and the limitations of early virtual reality storytelling. It offers moments of genuine wonder and disorientation that reflect its literary inspiration, but it also struggles with pacing, comfort, and narrative coherence. Its greatest strengths lie in its atmosphere, imaginative world-building, and the novelty of experiencing a science fiction interpretation of Alice’s surreal descent through the lens of VR. For players willing to overlook its imperfections and embrace its meditative rhythm, ALICE VR stands as a unique and memorable exploration of what virtual reality can achieve when it seeks to transport the mind as much as the senses. Nudna do bólu. Aż mnie zemdliło... i odinstalowałam.
