Picked it up for £2.74 most certainly worth it cool sim
It scratches the itch. There are some areas that could be polished or refined a bit, but overall if you just want to be a potion seller in your little shop then it's pretty good.
it's a neat little game :3

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's very janky for a 2020 game.
Need to put better instructions in how do make the potions annoying having to restart cause there ive ran out of money 🙄
Really small playtime, really barren gameplay. Not even some minigames to try making a game, an empty simulator.
Entretenido, una experiencia relajada y poco desafiante, no obstante, con mecánicas divertidas
Alchemist Simulator is a methodical and concept-driven simulation title developed and published by Art Games Studio S.A. that places players in the role of an aspiring alchemist attempting to revive and expand a neglected family workshop. Rather than focusing on spectacle or fast-paced action, the game centers itself on process, experimentation, and incremental mastery, offering an experience that is deliberately slow and cerebral. From the outset, it establishes a tone of careful study and routine, positioning alchemy as a craft that must be learned through patience, observation, and repetition. The core of the experience revolves around potion creation, which is far more involved than simply following recipes. Each ingredient contains multiple elemental properties, and preparing them correctly requires using a variety of workstations such as chopping boards, mortars, dryers, and extractors. These processes allow players to isolate, remove, or transform specific properties in order to match the exact requirements of a potion order. This layered system turns potion brewing into a puzzle-like activity, where understanding cause and effect is more important than speed. Early on, the lack of clear explanations can make this feel overwhelming, but the game intentionally encourages trial and error as a form of learning. Orders arrive daily from customers, each requesting specific potions with clearly defined traits. Managing these requests introduces a strong time-management element, as each in-game day is limited and unused ingredients cannot be carried forward. This creates tension between ambition and practicality: taking on too many orders risks wasted resources, while playing too cautiously can slow progress and income. Over time, players learn to plan their workflow more efficiently, grouping similar preparations together and minimizing wasted steps, which gives a strong sense of growth not just in character progression but in player understanding. Progression in Alchemist Simulator is tied closely to expanding and upgrading the workshop. New stations unlock additional preparation options, allowing for more complex potions and more lucrative contracts. This gradual expansion reinforces the fantasy of becoming a true master alchemist, transforming the initially cramped and inefficient workspace into a well-organized production environment. The satisfaction here comes not from flashy rewards, but from optimization—seeing a previously confusing process become smooth and deliberate through experience. Visually, the game adopts a modest but fitting fantasy aesthetic. The workshop is cluttered with tools, books, bottles, and arcane devices that reinforce the theme without overwhelming the screen. While character models and animations are simple, the environment feels cohesive and atmospheric, emphasizing function over flair. The user interface, however, can feel dense and unintuitive at times, especially during the early hours, which contributes to the steep learning curve. Clearer visual feedback and onboarding could have made the experience more accessible without sacrificing depth. Sound design supports the game’s calm, almost meditative pacing. Background music is subtle and unobtrusive, while sound effects emphasize routine actions like grinding, chopping, and distilling. Rather than heightening tension, the audio reinforces repetition and focus, making long sessions feel contemplative rather than stressful. This design choice aligns well with the game’s overall philosophy, encouraging players to slow down and engage thoughtfully with each task. One of the most divisive aspects of Alchemist Simulator is how little it holds the player’s hand. Many mechanics are only loosely explained, and understanding the deeper logic behind ingredient manipulation often requires experimentation or external references. For some players, this creates frustration and a sense of opacity; for others, it is the game’s greatest strength, as it mirrors the thematic idea of alchemy as an arcane discipline learned through study rather than instruction. The experience is most rewarding for players who enjoy deciphering systems and refining processes over time. Taken as a whole, Alchemist Simulator is a niche but thoughtfully constructed simulation that prioritizes depth, routine, and mastery over accessibility and spectacle. It is not a game designed for instant gratification, and its early hours can feel daunting due to unclear systems and limited guidance. However, for players willing to invest time and patience, it offers a satisfying sense of progression rooted in understanding complex mechanics and transforming chaos into order. As a representation of alchemy as a meticulous craft rather than a magical shortcut, it succeeds in delivering a slow-burning, quietly rewarding experience that will resonate most strongly with fans of deliberate, system-heavy simulation games.
