Alabaster is outstanding! The combat is fun and addictive and the boss fights amazing and challenging. I can't wait until the game is finished. Its worth trying out!

I took a chance with AD because this isn't a genre of game I usually play. Not far in, I knew I made the right choice. Very beautiful game and fun to play.
So far it's a really great game. Normally I'm not too much into RPGs, but the atmosphere, music and looks just kills me. Also the many jump paths which we already know from Crosscode are incredibly satisfying. The battle system is intuitive, fast and still tactical. I knew I would like it because I already played Crosscode, however Alabaster Dawn still surprised me. Only wish: maybe implement a tutorial page where you can look up combinations. To me a clear 10/10 would buy it again!
The game is great over all, art style is amazing, combat is extremely enjoyable. There is still a lot of work needing to be had. HOWEVER the protagonist is a little off. For someone reserved and introverted as Juno a lot of her dialog and passing in behavior needs a little bit more work, though I've gotten hints on how she is given the current situation I don't see much to warrant how she is now, but ill just simply wait and see to see how her writing goes down the line.
This game is in early access, however all of the content available is very very polished. Pieces are missing, but this game shows extreme promise. Hades combat meets old school Final Fantasy story telling. This game is phenominal, I played until I reached the first piece of noticably missing content, next update I will pick this back up and continue. I'm super impressed with the quality of this game and I'm excited to see it reach full release!
Very much in the same vein as CrossCode, this is a charming isometric action RPG type of thing with lush visual style, fun combat and solid storytelling. There's enough intrigue (what's up with the gods? Why was Juno cast out?) to keep me invested and waiting for updates. Characters have distinct narrative voices, and while they occasionally dip into irreverence, that's never overbearing. There's balance here. Someone knows what they're doing. As mentioned, combat is fun. People who've played CrossCode will feel instantly at home, as it's an essentially similar combination of isometric slashing, shooting and dodging that feels very fluid and very satisfying. Switching elements (e.g. lightning) for different attributes and skills returns, though here there are also weapons with their own attributes and abilities which can be arranged into loadouts. These loadouts are perhaps slightly confusing, as each element has its own set of loadouts, certain weapons are necessary to complete certain puzzles, and some puzzles require multiple elements. This hasn't become outrageous yet, but I anticipate a future in which I'm flicking between elements and loadouts trying to find where I put my Chakram. Speaking of puzzles: puzzles are back, and they bear some similarity to those in CrossCode while iterating on them. No pixel-perfect bounce angle puzzles here, but there are some inventive target-shooting mechanics and elemental doodads. There's nothing frustrating, but there are enough functions in play here that it's easy to occasionally forget what your options are. That's fine. I imagine the addition of more elements (there's space for two more on the UI in addition to what's currently ingame) will lead to some ludicrous brain-teasers later. By necessity, the lack of CrossCode's diegetic context makes Alabaster Dawn feel a bit less clever: in CrossCode, when you or an enemy fell into water, you or it would just respawn nearby because that's how the elements of the game-within-a-game worked, whereas in Alabaster Dawn that's kind of just how it is. Don't worry about it. This isn't inherently a problem (games do game things), but it does leave me wondering whether or to what degree I should be paying attention to things like this. Divine puzzles make some sense in-universe, but do Nyx puzzles make sense? Certain divine puzzles (good guy stuff) are built around the necessary use of Nyx functions like meaty tentacle switches (bad guy stuff). Are things like this a comment on the nature of the world in some way, or is it just a game and I shouldn't worry about it? Is there deepest lore here (is the Nyx testing me too? Is there a deeper link between the gods and the Nyx? Is this world secretly a game as well??) or am I not supposed to think about that? ...I suppose if this nebulous lack of ludonarrative clarity inspired purely by the specific nature of the previous game is the biggest criticism I have, that might be all the recommendation you need. If you loved CrossCode, you'll love this. If you haven't played CrossCode, this is still a very good game and a clear labour of love in its own right. Regardless, immediately buy them both. Both games have demos, you fool.
