Very detail oriented and a nice throwback to the legend of zelda: link to the past
One good experience I have from playing this game, is that it fills this niche that has been missing. As a fan of classic action RPGs on the SNES, this is one game I enjoyed on my first play through. Sure, it's a ripoff on a Link to the Past, but the beauty is that it feels fresh. In a way, it takes me back to the good old days when the feeling of getting to play a continuation of your favorite game is a reality.
A mediocre Zelda-like. It has an interesting aesthetic, but invests absolutely nothing in its own conceptual identity. The visuals imitate Zelda’s style far too much, though they do so professionally. Still, the visuals are a strong point of the game perhaps its strongest. (This paragraph contains spoilers). The game’s story leaves much to be desired. It’s simple, highly predictable, overly direct, and lacks narrative richness, dramatic exploration (especially of the villain Carthicus, who seems quite interesting but is never properly developed), and character growth. A clear example of the narrative weakness is the construction of the second villain, Xanatos. His development is gradual but amateurish, based on the idea that he is the polar opposite of the protagonist Airoheart, and that they are identical twins (visually, at least). That’s it. No further explanation, except for a brief mention of his motivations spoken by Xanatos himself, without any real depth. For a villain so closely tied to the protagonist, this lack of development is a major flaw. Moreover, Xanatos with his dark demeanor and cool sword—is a much more iconic character, but without any narrative foundation, relying solely on his visual appeal. One of the more enjoyable aspects of the narrative is the sidequests, which indirectly comment on the world’s history, races, and historical conflicts. However, they are few in number and extremely simplistic. One of Airoheart’s biggest problems is the lack of narrative and gameplay engagement regarding the items and weapons obtained in dungeons. Games of this type usually promise meaningful rewards at the end of dungeons, but that doesn’t happen here. Most dungeons do contain treasures, but the items are either disappointing or not very useful (in terms of versatility) within the game world. They add very little to the local narrative or reference the world’s myths and legends. They’re just mildly cool items, nothing more. In terms of gameplay, movement and combat sometimes feel a bit clunky, lacking fluidity especially during encounters with multiple enemies. At times, the protagonist seems much slower than he should be in certain scenarios. Also, some items are nearly useless, like the shield. Airoheart doesn’t seem like it was made by a bad game developer, quite the opposite. However, the final result feels overly cautious, promising innovation but never delivering anything truly distinct from its competitors. It’s a charming, pleasant clone full of good ideas, and that’s about it. Still, it’s worth playing, especially for fans of the Zelda-like subgenre.
Is a nice and fun game, if you like the game series of NINTENDO : The Legend of Zelda - series, is a like of the 2D games of this series, is godd game. And another nice thing thos game is working bnice on STEAM Linux.
Airoheart some really bad controller design that makes the game very much more difficult than it should. Having owned the Super Nintendo and a Link to the Past back in the day I would say this would have been a typical mediocre wanna be of The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past. It's passable, but not as will polished as Link to the Past or on the same level as Secret of Gia or Secret of Mana though. Link to the Past has a faster pace action. I could only get my Logitech Gamepad F310 to work with the game.
the vibes are charming and the story is interesting but it's let down by the level design. Everything is so troll based, you lift a pot there's a bomb, you lift another pot and it's a static shock, another pot and its a bomb. mimic chests, random statues on the wall poking you, enemies pushing you off the edge on an icy floor etc. Also the game is reaaallly dark, and there's no brightness setting, so good luck dealing with all those traps in a dark dungeon you can barely see. At least give me a torch spell or something. Worst offense are the enemy hitboxes, sometimes you'll hit them, sometimes their shields, and sometimes not at all and they just walk right trough and hurt you, which makes it extra frustrating when you are standing in ice and are gonna get pushed off. Overall is a a good game but let down by all the frustrating stuff, so i cant really recommend anyone to go trough this, i would love to see a sequel though where they improve and fix all of this, there's deff a lot of potential here
Too painful to play. Hard to navigate, painful dongeons, ennemies that deal way too much damage, slow moving.
Peccato.

A nice nod to a Link to The Past! I think the reviews are too critical and expected something equal or better to LTTP - which this is not but still worth the money!
