This game is really cute and easy on the eyes. Facts that are let down by underwhelming sound design and a seriously-inexcusable amount of bugs, some game breaking. Not worth the current price at the moment. Give it a month or two.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5dl7qdAdWI BEAUTIFUL hand-drawn platformer. The good is that it's a very cute and chill comfy game. It reminds me a lot of early 2D playstation titles with a ton of soul in them. The game has a nice ramp up of challenge and has a lot to explore and collect. There are grappling hook mechanics which is so fun! The only slightly negative thing I can say is there is an audio music bug (stops playing the music during the game), which the dev is already going to fix!
A very cute platformer that I can see myself attempting a speed run on. I recommend anyone who enjoyed Hollow Knight to give it a go.
I enjoy games where you play as a cute little critter that is still able to go and save the world from some sort of doomsday. Unfortunately, this game at its current state may scare you away with its numerous bugs, personally I couldn't even get past the first boss, as I'm getting stuck in falling trees or the boss either stops following the camera or kills you with his chomp anywhere on the screen. However, I don't think that bugs should define the rating of the game, as they can be fixed later. Just wait for a few patches and then go help the repopulation of adorable red pandas and other endangered animals.
To get in on the review early, to encourage people to give this game a chance, I'm going to give my first couple of minutes experience instead of "i finished the game". The controls are smooth, the art style and animations are nice, the music is great. If it's not an entirely long game it will definitely be enjoyable to experience what is there.
Let's just start off with the visuals. Cute panda, unique art style and simple but pretty funny looking monsters. For the first level i tried a full completion, getting used to the controls and enjoying the art style. The game doesn't exactly tell you this, but you can reel the grapple in and out. The dash can also be used in an upwards or half moving, half upwards way. After understanding this and not really feeling the game yet my choice was to try and speedrun some levels. Hoping there was something in some level that would be at the very least memorable enough to keep going. Sad to say this didn't come in the 9-10 or so levels I played during the hour I gave myself to try this game out. There are just too many different collectables in each level and the momentum, movement and grappling are clunky and not as snappy as other platformers. It feels like a toned down version of the super meat boy momentum without the need for it. The extremely steep drop off in global collected achievements, the fact this had 1341 Kickstarter backers and the amount of overall reviews should tell you enough. Steam has a very lenient refund policy if you are still not convinced to skip out on this game and it doesn't float your boat after all ;). For the current price there are just a lot of games out there that would offer a more full-fledged and memorable experience in this genre and many others.
The art an music are beautiful. The gameplay is great. If you are a fan of Metroidvania games, I recommend this game
I really wanted to like this game, the art style alone sells it. The gameplay however, not so much. You can very easily be stun-locked to death; you'll get a knock-back/stun from a damage source, which puts you in even more danger until you die. Even in the unlikely event that this is meant to be a souls-like platformer and I should get good, the responsiveness of the controls prevent this. The heal efficiency also seems a bit off, that much of your 'mana' bar for such a small amount of health is near on pointless. And the final straw was going into a boss fight and the boss didn't even bother to follow his pathing and follow me like he's meant to. Again, I wish I could say more positive things about this. But the art style is gorgeous.
操作一坨....画面一坨....只有小熊猫一个亮点...
用心做动画,用脚做游戏 另外没有汉化是件和难受的事
