I can't rate this game negative because it did everything right but just wasn't my cup of tea. I really enjoyed Black Watchmen and I dig the concept of ARGs but this one didn't pick me up. It might be because english isn't my native language (which makes the research a little bit harder) or that I'm not that fluent with/interested with the used topics (which makes the research a lot harder). The graphic, the music, the atmosphere ... everything is exceptionally. Just the topic wasn't mine...
Es un Puzzle bastante jodido (que solo está en inglés), con una historia interesante, junto con un OST cómodo y tranquilo para buscar en Internet las respuestas con las pistas que el mismo juego te da.
What a perfect balance between love and frustration. This game is exactly like my girlfriend... I love it because it is fun to solve I am frustrated by it because the riddles are non indefinitive. You can totally figure out several different solutions in your research and the only way to actually solve the puzzle is figure out which of the 700 solutions you have can actually be spelled out in the game. It would have been good but it totally kills the amazing effect of investigation the game provided otherwise. It is especially bad at the timed segment...
its like blackwatchmen but more of a consoldated view of your puzzle
Right, so, I actually won this game when they were unveiling it via answering a question correctly and getting the key for it. I loved playing through The Black Watchmen, got to take part in one of the live events called Operation Silver Sphere, had a blast. But, BUT, while I loved me a grand puzzle in dealing with spy movie level shenanigans of the core game and it’s more focused sister ones I have to be real here. If lack the time to set, say, maybe four or so hours maximum aside, if you despise researching things and going down rabbit holes, if you dislike games that act soley as a hub with the game itself being mostly you gathering clues from the pre-made websites and the like then you might not like this game. While not quite as bad as TBW it’s also not as kind about the digging you have to do for it, some of the stuff is obscure and I only knew some of it because I went down the rabbit hole as a kid and thus recognized some of the stuff there, frankly if you don’t like digging for clues outside the actual game itself as it runs in the background it’s probably not for you. But, if that is your thing, the game is pretty good. If you want to give it a try I suggest waiting on a sale to get the whole thing for cheap but I do like the games in general. Hope this helps
So first impressions, its good. But there is little to no tutorial, the tutorial that is there is confusing. And the greater game, if you don't know American History you are going to have a hard time of it. I do enjoy the game, but, I do say this disappointed, the clues are impossible unless you know America History and have in depth understanding of the links of history and trivia. DO NOT PLAY WINDOWED. Windowed will make some of the cipher wheels inaccessible. Good game, could be better. 6/10
If you like puzzle games and want something a bit different, this is worth a look.
Tremendous work on the content and historical research work done to connect all those concepts and events. Loved playing it, searching and ... after some time (hours for some of the puzzles) unlocking each and any elements of Ahnayro. It's all about dreams getting sadly to an end ... Nice work Alice & Smith.
Rubbish.
Get ready to get your Google-fu tested, since if you are not British/American, you will probably have hard time knowing what the puzzles are asking from you. The visuals are nice, but I couldn't lose myself in narrative and the illusion felt flat for me.
