Agraria is a cozy farming game that keeps the focus on the farm. No social commitments, no town to wander through, no birthdays to remember, no epic quest for glory. Its got a lot of personality, though (maybe TOO much - I'm looking at you, Lars). But almost all social aspects can be ignored or minimized if you want to just focus on farming.

I am totally enjoying the game. I've got other farming games but I bought this game mainly for a very simple reason. The chibi charatcter lol... It's soooooooo cute to just look at!! Making me inspired to draw a bunch of cute chibis.. Plus in trailer video I see that I will unlock hand tools like hand seeder or hand harvester later in-game which I'll love so much as well.. The main issue or the complain from players are two things -- it has used AI and it's very slow-paced in the beginning. 1) For me, I don't care if it's AI. And I am saying this even though I am myself a hobbyist graphic designer/painter. The way some players spread "AI-hate" -- that's not logical I will say. AI in itself is nothing. When you see some beautiful stuff created with AI - then the credit goes NOT to AI, but the instructor who gave AI the input to create something beautiful. And it's still artisitc when you can give good and creative instructions.. We should not forget traditional or digital artists because of AI arrival, but that doesn't mean we have to hate AI. There was a time when many artists moved to digital art from traditional painting and nobody hates them. Nobody questions them when they get the chance to delete or undo a mistake in digital art which isn't possible in tradtional art. They call that "advantages of digital art".. Then why should we hate AI if someone uses that for advantage??? --- To me, I have much respect for traditional artists than digital creators but that doesn't mean I hate digital art. So I don't hate AI either when it is used for good reason. People need to think and grow up before they spread hate.. 2) About the slow paced game style - Well, the developer has clearly stated this in the forum QandA section and if you agree with that -- only then you should buy it. Complaining after buying isn't productive. And the game has a LOT to offer once it starts to unfold itself. The first tier is very slow and goes on a repeatative loop but that's the challenge here. Without loosing patience, once you manage to get to 2nd tier, you will unlock a lot of fertile soil, tending them properly daily, completing quests, leveling up, foraging for stuff -- these will take quite some time everyday before you can go to bed. But still we can't forget that it's a slow paced calming game and if you want MP, social connections, quick way to earn money, a town to roam around and chatting with people -- Nope! it doesn't offer that. It looks small but offers a lot but then again in a slow way. I love this slow paced challenge where a timer is not frustrating me but yet I'm not rewarded with unlimited money. It's like a relaxing game with relaxing challenges and I can take my time to complete those challenges. There's something different about that...
This game is dangerous. It starts innocent enough. “Just one more row.” “Just one more day.” “Just one more unlock in the CM3K.” “Okay but I HAVE to see what this machine does.” Next thing I know it’s 6+ hours later, my crops are thriving, my responsibilities are not, and I’m planning irrigation infrastructure like I have a farming degree. For such a simple concept - a cozy farming sim - this game has absolutely no business being this effective at deleting entire evenings. Highly recommend. (Please send help. I still need to unlock one more thing.)
The best way I can explain this game is original harvest moon meets farming simulator. It is made by a lone indie dev. Originally it felt as if there may have been a lack of content and was very early access because it wasn't apparent what would actually unlock as I played. The focus isn't on relationships, story, etc... there is story and narrative laced throughout in emails and random visitors but that appears at current to be it. Don't expect to date or get married from what I can see. The dev did pop into my stream and I was able to give feedback and the concern that the initial amount of gameplay that you go through before you can expand your land to have more plantable space. Starts off very small. At rank 2 you can begin expanding and gain a good number of tillable spots. With the feedback we can hope the dev will make it more apparent early on as my own concern is people may think there isn't anything there but it unfolds slowly and steadily without rush or pressure and the dev confirmed this was their intent. a Zero pressure game without any FOMO or time limits to worry about. Nae running everywhere trying to fit everything into a single day every day. Nae talking to every villager etc. Plant your crops, clean up weeds, water them, go out looking for mushrooms and find new seeds in wild plants(major way to unlock new plants). Lather rinse repeat and perform trials/quests to unlock new content and privilege's. Game has an in game radio. Music seems to be custom. The starter channel bored me. After a while changed it to "eclectic" station. much more lively and fun to me. I hope to see much more from this dev and am looking forward to when I play it again and see what else I unlock. Disclaimer: This review might contain spoilers, I have the Give-info-Virus. I apologise in advance. I'm addicted to this lovely farming game. It's slow-paced at first but in later seasons I had to grope my way back in total darkness, even though I took the relaxed setting (30 min. per day, I think). This happens to... greed. Was nice at the start to go to bed at 10 am as I was done, later on I had to battle time because of darkness. You have 1 seed type at first and unlock later ones through challenges (CM3K is your friend). The first tool you should get is the scratcher or watch helplessly how weeds take over. Every season lasts for 30 days and if you miscalculated growth... the plant is dead on the first day of the next season. And yes, this happened to me as well because I stood up, read emails and went to bed... by accident - without weeding/watering thus missed one growth day. ♥♥♥♥ happens. Seasons don't give a change of the scenery, e.g. no falling leaves or snow - no weather either. The sun stares down every day, so... water your crops. Crops don't change due to season, the list grows as you progress. I'm rank 4 by now, so have my first chicken coop, a canning machine and 18 plant types to choose from. I have no clue what the next rank challenges me to unlock but I feel the growing need to escape the Agraria Corporation, as the plot thickens. Yes, that Corp… showers me with emails by an overly enthusiastic Lady animator, a somewhat suspicious CEO, and my absolute favourite technician named Bobby. Should you choose to buy the game, then please! Read his emails. It makes him happy, trust me. Other emails are happy customers who sometimes enclose cash or scrips. Latter is an important currency for upgrades. And if you’re broke, don’t forget to search for mushrooms, RNG provides you with 1-4 daily. As you are a slave of that Corp there is no socialising, dating, making friends and all that jazz preventing you to make profit for Agraria, capisce? Okay, you occasionally meet a lady gathering wild plants, an elderly lady informing you of the good old times (before Agraria), a hairy guy selling caps and an engineer trying to get behind the dark schemes this Corp might plan – but that’s it. You’re locked on your farm and the unclaimed land around you, no escape. As you progress, you also unlock several radio programs, ranging from different music genres to a typical farming info one with a nice plus on crime podcasts to keep you in contact with the rest of the world. In case you wonder why I love this game – the humour, the sarcasm, the music, the cute graphics and the freedom to toil away without having to gift, chat, make friends and run errands for needy folks.
Very basic farm grind game. Amusing true to life stupid corp. emails. I think it needs to be said that this is not really a story based game. Some fun story lines but not actual game story. 12 hours and logging in now.
i like the game is based on farming and potential to do more as i progress. I love all cozy games but sometimes speaking to every NPC every day can be overwhelming. To me this is a break from those games and is very relaxing
This is a low-key, fun cozy game that allows you to relax and enjoy some farming without worrying about mining or birthdays or festivals. You grow some crops, get some money, and upgrade your equipment and seed catalog. The world of the Agraria company, seems delightful at first glance, but you'll soon find out that not everything is as it seems! This game is a ton of fun!!!
A calm, cozy, pleasantly anti-corporate farming game that feels like it took the farming side of Stardew Valley and focused entirely on that. You leave behind a disgruntled city life to take over a corporation-owned farm, growing vegetables, mushrooms, raising animals, and eventually producing more as you progress. The chibi art style and relaxed atmosphere make it especially great for solo players who find Stardew a little overwhelming or just want plenty of time to get things done. The early game can be slow and there is a bit of a grind, so skip it if you need to juggle ten tasks at once—but for under $12, it is an easy recommendation for anyone wanting a low-pressure farming game where you can quietly resist capitalism one mushroom at a time.
Love the game. How do you use the axe I have tried everthing. Please help ty.
Shows promise but so far early game too slow , Char wakes at 6 do a few squares of crops pick 2 or 3 mushrooms plants and then nothing so back to sleep end of day at 8 am , Rinse and repeat for days
