The gameplay is simple and suitable to be played for an hour or two at a time. The cooking day might be repetitive after several hours, but the overall features for upgrading ingredients, shop utilities, new recipes and brawling system do well enough to compensate. The character visuals are cute and lovely. The models look fantastic. However, due to the simplicity nature of the game, the characters might often become less compelling as you play. Overall, the game turned out to be much better than I initially expected. From here on, this is the part you do not need to read any further. What in the world is a Classic Bowl with no Noodles and no Soup? You literally handed me an order for a meatball sitting in the sauce and called it ramen. Then there's the customer who believes vegetables are a human right. "More vegetables, please" Fine. "Maximum vegetables." Congratulations, your tofu soup now contains 1000 Chillies and enough Bok Choy to feed an entire village. And don't even get me started on the Special Meatball Twist with no meat. What exactly is twisting here? My sanity? Then the judges stroll in like culinary war criminals. Somehow, the best approach to get full 10/10 is to violate every dietary recommendation known to mankind by dumping half the salt mine into the soup and empty an industrial barrel of Chili Sauce. They'll applaud like you've just invented gourmet cuisine. I came here expecting to run a cozy noodle shop. Instead, I've become a licensed supplier of literal sodium poisoning and somehow the greatest vegan activist despite selling meatballs, tendons and shrimps. And finally... Chashu is NOT chicken! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! And no—don't you dare put it on the frying pan! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
kuloniku deserves all the praise it's getting, and more. i had so much fun with this game! the mechanisms are easy to understand but in-depth with the brawls, the storyline is fun and heartwarming, the characters are all very fun to engage with, and the art is gorgeous and pleasing to the eye. this very much reminds me of my childhood food service games, like cooking mama! i was pleasantly surprised at the flow of this game, how easy it was to open the game and get into the mood of serving and following through the story, and then blinking and realising 4 hours had passed. the characters are all very endearing and though the story is predictable, there were silly twists and very sweet moments that kept me engaged throughout. there's a lot of freedom to play as you like, too, with cosy mode and the option to turn on the festivals or not. i ended up physically writing down the orders though, it was much easier to look for reference vs repeatedly pulling up the notebook. dan is totally in love with you and i need an ending where we skip off into the sunset together </3
great game 10/10 had alot of fun, the activities in between are fun aswell.
Step 1: See cat. 🐱 Step 2: Instantly buy game. Step 3: Find out the cat is named Teto, wears a helmet, and runs a delivery service. 🛵 Step 4: Existential crisis over why this game costs less than a single real-life bowl of bakso. My bank account is safe, my dopamine is high, and my cat is employed. What more do you want? Buy it. 11/10.
Very fun but also very stressful lol as someone whose worst nightmare is working food service, definitely took me back to when I played Papa's Burgeria in middle school lmao. the visual style is also very charming :) At first I was complete ♥♥♥♥ at everything and kept forgetting the utensils and broth (DONT FORGET THE BROTH) but I managed to get into a nice rhythm after a while, I like the challenge of balancing the flavors :D overall hugely recommend giving this game a shot
I love this game! I wasn't sure in first place, but then you can't stop making meals for the clients coming to your restaurant and wanting to make them happy. The brawls and leveling your friendship with different characters are also a nice additon to make a little bit variety in the game.
