Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.43/day in the week to Aug 23 → 14.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You are the Viceroy – a leader charged by the Scorched Queen to reclaim the wilderness and discover lost riches for the Smoldering City, civilization's last bastion against the Blightstorm that destroyed the old world. Unlike most survival city builders where your focus is on a single city, in Against the Storm you must build a vast, prosperous network of settlements populated by diverse fantasy races, each with their own specializations and needs.
The wilderness holds many hidden dangers, and never-ending storms will batter your population into submission. If your settlements should fall, then the expedition may end – but not the game. Against the Storm is a roguelite city builder, meaning you will carry forward the resources, upgrades, and experience of your past expeditions each time you set off for a new journey into the wild.

Foxes, beavers, and lizards stand alongside humans and harpies in the struggle to survive. Utilize each group's strengths as you balance their varying needs, from housing and culinary preferences to taste in luxuries and recreation. Will you manufacture raincoats, brew ale, and bake pies to boost morale in the face of the oppressive hostility of the forest, or will you prioritize the needs of one species over another to operate more swiftly for the Scorched Queen?

Experience core city builder gameplay enhanced by roguelite replayability. Build and manage multiple settlements spread out across a large world map, all while collecting valuable meta-progression resources to upgrade the Smoldering City. Feel the pressure of an expectant monarch as the Scorched Queen demands constant progress while recurring Blightstorms pose an inevitable threat to your settlements. Manage your reputation to secure your success at any one settlement before moving on to establish another, constantly seeking new opportunities for growth, taking on unique challenges across multiple biomes, and bracing for the inevitable destruction of everything but the Smoldering City itself. How will you maximize each cycle to not just ensure the best fate for the Smoldering City, but for your career as Viceroy as well?

With hundreds of gameplay modifiers and 6 distinct biomes, every city location presents unique challenges for even the most resourceful Viceroy. Adjust your strategy to changing weather conditions and experiment with rosters of building blueprints and perks that can help your society thrive or bring it to ruin. Will you take on and complete additional objectives and delve deeper into the dangerous forest for potential boons, or will you approach with caution to ensure you operate within your capabilities? All the while, you never know what wares the Trader will bring next year, and the forest holds treasures and resources, but also ancient threats.

Laying the foundations for a new city is one of the most exciting moments in a city-building game. In Against the Storm, you'll have the opportunity to repeatedly experience this by creating new settlements, while still interacting with your network of previously established cities in a growing world.

i really like this game with missions to do it keeps it exciting
I like this game, played it after Frostpunk and I think it's entertaining and complex. Totally worth +300hours of my time
As someone who usually avoids city builders, this one has me hooked. The rougelite nature of the game makes each settlement self-contained and has replayability baked in. My only gripe is that some systems are not particularly well explained but, once you have them figured out, the game suddenly becomes much better. (I ignored trade early on, while also underestimated the value of keeping villagers happy.)

The rogue lite aspects combined with a non headache city buidler and people/resource management makes for a very fun new genre. You can MOVE your buidlings, take so much of the stress out of optimization and path planning, it's great.
Amazing game! Never thought there could be a builder game which has such extensive replay ability. Since I found the last several runs too easy on the lowest difficulty setting (settler) plus I forged my first seal (bronze), I moved up. My last run was pretty darn good on the next higher setting (pioneer), and I obviously should have moved up a while ago. Still two harder levels left to go though.
好玩
游戏是好游戏 但是套路都差不多 重复度很高其实很容易玩腻
a city-builder that could be played in 1-2 hour spurts. at prestige difficulties it is a game of timing, resource management and of course, synergies. the music in particular is very fitting for a world saturated with constant rain - makes lower difficulties feel like a more relaxed city-builder.
One of a kind city builder. Manages to strike challenge and threat without having combat. Any combat or conflict is managed through events/expeditions and such. Its a bit overloaded with effects that possibly could be a bit more streamlined. Theres a ton of +2 threat when this happens" or "+1 this resource when this thing happens". Its especially bad with negative map modificators. You can easily lose track and i end up just ignoring effects and just build by city, because i couldnt be bothered with 2 dozen effects being added on top of each other and while having different icons and names, actually not making much of a difference. Like theres acid rain that can happen during storm which causes x and then theres like cold rain that can happen during storm which causes x too but mildly less or so. I love the game for having a lot of stuff going on, but it all just comes down to some numerical buff or debuff thats packed into a block of text and fluff. They tried to add some actual rule bending perks, but they are rare. Most of the stuff is really just +10% speed for woodcutters and +1 whine when producing. The game can be highly recommended for what it does by design. Its literally a rogue-like city builder where every time you build a town, you have different conditions and resources with a lot of options to customize your loadout and progression and gaining control over how your city develops. The second major design point is that its essentially an EXTRACTION game. You build a base, you finish it up and when you do, you gain resources that you use to upgrade the main city unlocking meta upgrades and new stuff. The third design point thats unique is that you can go prestige and add challenge beyond despair. You can not only pick tough spots to settle on the world map, you can also pick spots with additional conditional effects (POIs), you can increase difficulty level by hand (which adds more conditions and debuffs) and then you can also do other things that increase difficulty. This pretty much adds a ton of ways to play the game and focus on different strategies. Theres lots of products to take care of, a lot of interactions between buildings and a lot to do. I found myself fastforwarding, but only in the early stages in the lower branches of the tech tree. And once you are going pro you can pretty much "NG+" the thing and whack yourself with tough challenges. Admittedly my major negative point besides the somewhat cluttered effect salad going on, is the lack of coop. This game could be even more incredible if there was a way to cooperate with a friend. Must not even be playing on the same map but maybe the same map but separate areas and interaction focusses on exchange, trade and doing expeditions together, maybe dealing with exploration together possibly with the option to connect your towns together if you really try to. Maybe also progressing the main city together with your rewards or even having two separate main city to progress individually. Hopefully a second game in this franchise features a coop mode. Btw, i bought this game twice already. Its absolutely worth it. One of the best city builders out there. For 9€ in a sale, a steal. DLCs are super optional. Fine if you like the game, but not necessary to have tons of fun.
I wasn't too sure wheat to expect when I first picked up this game, but as someone who really enjoys management sims, I wasn't disappointed! This game has a very interesting concept and story, with a rogue-like mechanic that keeps you engaged. Very unique, very fun. Highly reccomend if you enjoy a low-stress and fun time.
