Great Game smooth combat and movement, Fun bosses. BUT!!!!! Dev.Charles i need my Hammer Weapon (not a finisher) A WEAPON! plz and thank you.
8/10 (today in early access) Gunfire Reborn crossed with Risk of Rain 2 and it hits in almost all the right places. Can have a full experience even in very early EA with two modes that feel fleshed out ('Normal' Dungeon Run with acts & final boss and a Risk of Rain style endless loop mode). Has a ton of potential and very hard not to say 'just one more run'. Two person dev team has clearly solid inspiration and it feels like a great game already, and I'd love to time travel 2 years and play it then. Still for $15 it feels like it earns its place today, and can pretty much only get better, since all the systems like build crafting and meta progression are in place already and only need to be fleshed out. Mixed Bag/Work In Progress: Build system is somewhat undercooked/RNG based, and weapons could have more punch to them (sound/feel, not actual damage). It's not bad, just kind of all over the place. To be clear, it isn't like every upgrade is +4 stamina or +4 strength. Has plenty of unique items like spawning friendly allies, chaining massive poison explosions and comboing face punches for max strength - it just feels a bit incoherent at the moment. Really Good: Bosses feel like epic bosses, six unique ones so far. They aren't massive bullet sponges, instead they have unique arenas and mechanics that feel satisfying to learn. Music is also incredible, not too many tracks but each stage and boss already have unique and fitting tracks. Great: Movement - Built in grappling hook, air dash & double jump that feel great to use. Platforming is not required (might be a negative for some?). You can spend more time in the air than on the ground (with full access to weapons) if that's your style. Only played solo but it offers up to 4 player co-op, so if you actually have friends might be worth checking out.
I've been playing this game off and on, both with and without friends. The game is overall pretty fun, but does get a bit repetitive after a while and feels less roguelite more permanent upgrade grind. That said, here are my key takeaways for it: Offline Mode? YES! - So far it has not required me to be online to play! Devs, please never change this! Graphics: 10/10 - The graphics are amazing for a small team. Damn near on par with big budget games! Movement: 9/10 - Its excellent, nearly perfect even, but sometimes you randomly get caught on terrain or enemy in a weird way. There's grapple, dash and even double jump. Gunplay: 9/10 - The various guns feel good, though it would be nice to see more variety of effects. Maps: 8/10 - Map generation feels a bit repetitive and could use a bit more variety. Gameplay: 7/10 - This will get more than a 1-2 line summary. Gameplay overall does feel good, but again feels less like a roguelite and more like a grind for permanent upgrades. Yes, the maps and drops are random each run, BUT they can feel limited. Suggestions: Right now guns primarily deal non-elemental damage, though their special skills can do specific elemental damage. Maybe change it up a bit to have the weapon primary damage deal mostly non-elemental damage but also a small percentage of an element randomly chosen. Combine this with making some enemies weaker or stronger against different elements could influence how a player chooses perks and passives. It would be cool if items/perks could synergize, where combining them leads to new effects or boosts their existing effects. Add perks that could increase proc chances while slowing down the players fire rate. Similar to how we can choose to decrease dash cooldown at the cost of increasing the grapple cooldown time. Of course a perk to increase the fire rate at the cost of proc chance would be cool. Larger map layouts, each map feels small with only a few "rooms". The rooms themselves feel limited in the number of layouts/environments available, and combined with a small-ish map, lends to the feeling of repetitiveness and grind. Additional notes: Dev(s) do seem open to feedback and I've seen them pop in and chat when people are live streaming the game a few times. Hell, I know of 2 occasions when they hopped into a chat and they received feedback about a bug or other issue there was a patch issues pretty quick to fix it. You rarely see that and its appreciated, and will be appreciated even more once the reload animation bug with the UZI is fixed haha. Do I recommend the game? Sure, its fun to play even if its not all the time.
First boss shoved me into a corner and mag dumped me
o jogo é legalzinho, mais muito repetitivo, os poderes e passivos que voce coleta no jogo não ajudam muito. o que acaba ficando estressante. tem muito a evoluir e pelo preço tem jogos melhores.
Picked this up a few days ago and im having way more fun than i expected! The gunplay feels good, runs are addictive and the game actualy looks really nice. also getting solid fps even when things get pretty chaotic which is a huge plus for a roguelike fps. Still early for me but so far its definitely worth it!!
It's a no for me. I play it with a friend occasionally The shooting and the way that it works insignificant the interaction feels off kind of floaty The God's variation and the way they unlock is also not very interesting including the builds very nice concert. The execution needs some work
Игра классная, но кооператив возможен как я понимаю только с друзьями. Поменяю отзыв, когда можно будет играть в пати с случайными игроками.
Great game with excellent co-op. Players with different skills levels are able to enjoy this one together. Solo play is also solid.
