Gracias!
Not the best puzzles, needed additional hints to solve some of them. Also short for the price.
Mystic Academy: Escape Room is what happens when an escape room, a wizard school, and my last remaining brain cells sign a pact and agree to have the time of their lives. From the moment you step in, the game politely kidnaps your attention and refuses to give it back. The puzzles are clever in that smug “I’m smarter than you, but you’ll forgive me” kind of way. Every solved riddle feels like passing an exam you didn’t study for but somehow aced. Dopamine. Pure, uncut dopamine. The atmosphere deserves its own diploma. Moody halls, magical vibes, and that constant feeling that the Academy knows something about you that you don’t. It’s less “escape room” and more “I live here now, please forward my mail.” What really shines is how the game respects your intelligence. It doesn’t hold your hand, but it also doesn’t throw you into the deep end with concrete shoes. You feel clever, curious, and mildly wizard-adjacent at all times. I swear my IQ temporarily went up by at least 7 points while playing. In short: Brain gets challenged Ego gets boosted Time mysteriously disappears If you enjoy puzzles, magic, or the deeply satisfying click your brain makes when everything finally connects, Mystic Academy: Escape Room is mandatory homework. And yes, this is one test you’ll actually want to retake. 🧙♂️✨
Mystic Academy is an escape room game I can comfortably recommend, especially for players who enjoy classic puzzle design with a few standout moments. While many of the puzzles follow familiar escape-room conventions, there are several clever and memorable challenges that feel genuinely rewarding and well thought out. The overall presentation is very polished: controls are smooth and intuitive, and the graphics are clean and pleasant, making the experience feel seamless from start to finish. Technically, everything works as it should, which helps keep the focus on solving puzzles rather than fighting the interface. The story is rather minimal and plays a secondary role. It’s short and somewhat underdeveloped, but it provides just enough context to frame the puzzles without getting in the way. In the end, Mystic Academy succeeds as a solid escape room experience that shines through its gameplay and occasional puzzle highlights, even if narrative depth isn’t its main strength.
fun couple hours, very beneficial to have a pencil and paper to jot stuff down on the camera and movement is weird, the camera has this overshoot effect where it keeps going a bit even after you stop. the movement has a slow drift where it takes a bit before it gets up to full speed. I love the atmosphere, shame it was modified to make it less similar to Harry Potter. For reference, it was originally called "Wizardry School Escape Room" and was about finding a gem to save the school. Now it's about passing your wizard exams. The puzzles are the same, but some narration is different, and the ending scene uses a different prop.
My least favorite kind of puzzle is the one where the solution is figuring out what the puzzle is... This game has a handful of them and they all pissed me off. The hints are also useless, they just tell you things you probably already know but aren't piecing together... Overall, I would not recommend this game, and that's saying a lot because I enjoy some pretty seedy escape room games.
The best of all of the games thus far. Some tips: There is at least one puzzle where you need to recognize numbers from a design. There is at least one puzzle where you will be given evidence as a series of colors; you must choose two CONSISTENT pieces of evidence to solve each "digit". For one puzzle, you must use the tick things on the sides of a compass to operate it. Look through the back sides of the execution stands. All in all, I believe this is the most balanced game made by these devs to date. The ending is a good one too.
This was rather disappointing compared to their other games I've played. Most of the puzzles don't have to be fully figured out to solve and some you can easily just guess. There's too many "1-9 number" puzzles. It's really a shame the puzzles are so bad in this, because the vibes are awesome.
Mystic Academy is a short, simple “story” where you need to solve a series of puzzles in order to move from room to room. After you solve the last puzzle, you get to graduate from the academy. There are no other characters in the game so the only dialogue in the game is MC talking to himself. A typical escape the room game. Pros: Good animations 3D movement Simple controls Graphics are well done Non-linear (For the most part) Several logical puzzles to solve Cons: Single ending (You can't fail... at least I don't think you can) Fairly short There's not a whole not I can say about this game really. All of the puzzles in this game were logical and well balanced, the graphics were decent, and the controls were as easy as it gets. Over all, a nice game. At the time of this review, Mystic Academy was selling for $10.99. If you like simple, short puzzles and you have a couple of hours to kill, then you shouldn't be disappointed by this game.
