I won't give this game hate. But I'm going to be simple in my critique. This is someone's pet project, that they're charging - regardless of how little - for. And abusing the Early Access feature on Steam. I don't know how long it's taken them to make the content thus far, but it's probably 1/4 finished (according to my own views, if not less!). It's cheap, but a project of this genre, size and quality should be free until a specific point, or released in a complete state. *Update* The price of the game went from £0.79 upto £7.19. Not sure why...
DO NOT BUY THIS. Took me 10mobs to level 2 > Got skill points > Got skill > Took me 1 mob to level 5+ > Mob dropped a shield that made me immune to any attacks from any monsters > Went straight to final boss level9000+ > Killed with ~20aa > My level is 3500+ > Game is done. I`ll point just a couple of Cons. - Achievements doesn't work - There is no point of Crafting system - There is no point of Shops - There is no point of Potions - There is no point of Gold - There is no point of Quests - Everything is extremely unbalanced. Example 1 - Potions restore 50-100hp, which is usefull exactly for 2minutes ingame till you get level up and everything that's possible(mentioned above) just loses value or any point of existence. Example 2 - Take quest that gives you 200exp(1lvl up) if you kill 10/10 your level mobs OR just forget about it and easily kill a mob 10 lvls higher and get 5lvl ups immediatly. Pros. - Well it runs.... THERE IS NO POINT OF THIS GAME. MAXIMUM COST OF THE GAME SHOULD BE FREE.
This game has improved so much since when it first came out. At first stats were imbalanced and few items were available, but now there's lots of variations for loot and several hubs for boss fights. The developer has also added achievements which is always great. I reccomend this game to anyone who would like to go back in time to visit the vintage pixel theme while having loads of bosses and armor to earn and craft. - High resolution visuals and assets - Has selling and trading system - Lots of different biomes for exploring The developer is always in touch with the players and updates, looking forward to the new content coming soon!
IGN 10/10 would smash that like button again
The game is mostly a rpg with a little mix into it! There are a lot of bugs in it but it couldnt be worth your try if you wanna try something new
This game brings promise. Granted there's a few bugs but the devs claimed they fixed it and that theres an update so I'm looking forward to that. And also the games literally 59 cents and early access so there should be a alot of stuff to come. Graphics are amazing for a pixel game, and most of the map has really good images for terrain and buildings. I'm happy I was able to equip my armor properly and land hits on enemies. Like I said this game brings a lot of promise, I would grab it while you can and wait for it to blossom into something way bigger. I'll give it a thumbs up not for it's current state, but for the price and what its going to be offering soon. Buy at your own risk, this is still an early access game and less than a buck.
It was an alright way to waste 2 hrs imo.. dont go to the outer realm, there is 1 npc, 3 types of mobs and nothing else there. im level 9152, and i cant gain xp anymore from what i can tell. hopefully they intend to make it an actual mmorpg but idk if the 1 person behind the game is going to or using this as jumping off point.
I don't normally write reviews like this: The game is unfinished and buggy, As much as it might appeal to fans of sandbox RPG fans, the game should be avoided at the price point of $9.99 (and, arguably, at any price point). A few things I noticed: -No sounds when attacking. -Most of the spells just say 'Deals fire damage', even shock spells. -No animations (by design, perhaps, but pretty bland). -Bows are the same as melee. Your first attack might occur at a longer range, but then your character gets within melee range. -Very hard scroll through the skill list. -You can clip through the outer walls of the bee hive room. -During gameplay my target reticule disappeared somehow. No hate for the developer(s?) here, but if you're charging for a game like this then you're open to critique.
Not balanced, seems like a quick cash grab which is sad, if the dev put more effort into it, it might sell better.
