About

You are Maeve, ex-mining engineer for the Astral Resource Corporation - ARC - a galactic megacorp that profits by draining entire planets of their resources.
As you take on your own mining claim, you'll explore the remnants of a doomed science expedition and the abandoned facilities they've left behind as Maeve strives to build a stable life of her own, outside of ARC’s control.
Armed with nothing but her basic mining equipment, tales from her beloved grandad, and her loyal AI drone companion, can you unravel the mystery of an incredibly powerful new element and uncover the dark secrets that the corpos would rather keep buried?

Use the simple but powerful modular building system to create your own mining operations hub filled with dozens of types of refining, processing and crafting stations.
Grow plants, raise fish and prospect for gems in your cozy habitats which you can decorate with almost any item you come across.

Descend underground and use lasers, explosives, drills and more to gather hundreds of different resources from your mining claim then refine them and craft new tools for exploration.
Upgrade your suit and mining drone companion to explore deeper and further into the world.

Built from the ground-up with story at its heart, uncover a dystopian corporate conspiracy and decide how far you’re willing to go for the truth.
Story is not an afterthought in AETHUS - there's always new narrative to drive you forward.

Reviews
A good game. Pacing is nice during the game, and you always have a next goal you know to reach. A nice blend of base building (think Subnautica vibes), exploration and resource havesting. Not (too) grindy and a good story behind it.
Fun, Engaging and addicting .Great story . Amazing game.
Lost interest after about the 20th time of needing to go to the 2nd zone to farm oxite. Seems like you need to farm that zone for that single resource twice as often as every other zone/resource combined.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

AETHUS is a game that one day just popped up on a stream of a YouTube gamer who never bothered to play it longer than the first few hours. I decided to try it myself, and let me tell you this open‑world game from a solo developer is amazing. It has an amazing building and crafting system with automation. It’s fully voiced. It has a super captivating story and is fully voiced. The characters are loveable from the get‑go, and ye, it is fully voiced. The game has the fundamentals for a larger IP in this universe. Did I mention this game is fully voiced for the price? The voice actors are phenomenal! There is so much potential to make another game in this IP, but of course it’s up to the developer to decide what he wants to do. But I know that if he decides to make another survival game, I will be supporting him. If you like a good survival, building and crafting game with an amazing story, support the developer and buy the supporter pack, because this game is dirt cheap for what it offers.

What a Journey
If you are looking at buying this game to check it out. Buy it. Play for an hour and if it's not your cup of tea/coffee/water, fine, nothing ventured nothing gained, get a refund. What I can say is that I wasn't sure, but I'm so happy I gave it a go. I have rarely enjoyed a game as much as I have this game. There is such a clear passion in this game and it shows in many aspects. It's actually hard to believe that a single developer was responsible. I bought it for the gameplay. I enjoyed the progress. I stayed for the story. With all that being said, is it perfect? No. Do I have a heap of recommendations, hell yes, much like many of the other reviews. What I am sure about is that the developer sure as hell had heaps of things they still wanted to do. As a software developer, if we keep that mindsight we will never be done. At some point a line needs to be drawn, priorities decided and people to be disappointed. Such is the digital world. Look at it for what it is and not what you want it to be and I guarantee you will find magic here.
Finished the Game in 23hours and 58min (played casually) The game is Story focused and the story itself is incredible and well thought out. love the game
A very pleasant surprise. Good game, good settings (so you can modify to your play style). Very good story, writting and excellent voice acting. Well done Dev!!
I bought this game in a bundle with another game I had wanted not knowing anything about this game except that it looked interesting. Well I ended up loving this game. The gameplay is very addictive, the story is very good and the voice acting is amazing. I can say that this game impressed me and is better than a lot of the AAA slop that is being released lately. I never encountered any bugs in my playthrough. If you like crafting/building games with exploration and a good story then this game is for you.
