I’d say it’s definitely not for everyone. It has this retro feeling of deliberately not wanting to hold your hand. You have to figure things out for yourself. No waypoint markers etc, just the game world, it’s inhabitants, and you the Player trying to make sense of it. It is also a bit unfair at times and will probably make some casuals quite salty on some precision platforming. Personally, I love all this and I’m glad I’m supporting a game that seems to be made with the heart. Plus, the soundtrack and ambiance are beautiful and original. Playing this in Early Access, it has some small bugs here and there and you should definitely play with a controller (keyboard is a bit clunky), but overall, it’s quite stable and I have yet to encounter anything game breaking. Keep it up! :)
I have a hard time recommending the game in it's current state, the combat is janky, there's gamebreaking bugs, soft locks, and the placement of save points far and away from each other is just frustrating with the aforementioned combat and bugs.
A platform game in the best metroidvania style. Pixelated graphics and fluid gameplay. A very beautiful and fun game, with just the right degree of challenge. I really enjoyed this game and recommend it to anyone looking for fun and entertainment.
The art and music are so beautiful, and along with the atmosphere, it gives me a Studio Ghibli kind of feel. The storytelling is wonderful and poignant. There is a deep sense of meaning to it. It is well thought out. It’s not a straightforward map of a linear platformer game; it makes you go around the area to figure out how to progress. You have to obtain skills to further access other areas and must figure out the clues to find your way. The world is so mysterious, and the characters in it who talk cryptically are so interesting. One reminded me of the Foreman in Spirited Away and another one reminded me of Jack Skellington. When you play this game, you can tell that it was made with love and great effort. I look forward to the updates. I highly recommend this game. It's really enjoyable to play. And it is better to play it with a game pad of course ;D
There's really nothing going for this game. It feels like a devs first project (which it likely is). Basic platforms, block pushing puzzles. Screens are generic and completely uninteresting to me.
Just started this game. Already loving the vibe! I hope there's option to change the font to normal ones. The pixel font is a little hard to read for me. Also I prefer to move with left thumb stick instead of the D-pad.
From the first minutes we are transported by an ost that promises beautiful things. The game transports us in a story that seems as melancholic as strange. The gameplay is enriched by the trials and discoveries that the player makes. A clever mix between a gameplay of metroid, castlevania and hollow knight. I found myself not looking at the time around me, guided by the ost and the level design more sumptuous as the game progresses. I highly recommend it, it's a title that promises to offer many hours of play ahead. I can't wait to see what the future will bring us in terms of content and gamedesign, for the moment I'm seduced. For the moment we can't type our own binds but it's only a matter of time before we have the possibility. Check out this game and have fun!
I have yet to finish all the content that seems to be available in this early access, but I already know this is right up my alley. It's like my two favorite indie games had a child: Hollow Knight and Undertale! Really can't wait to play more and see where this adventure takes us! Keep up the good work :)
I changed my review because this game is, without a doubt, abandoned. It is a pity
Attention spoilers: Dogo is totally cute! When you play this game, you realize that it was made with a lot of love and great effort. The sound and the artistic design are just great. You quickly get lost in the level. Above all, the many different characters you meet over time are all so different and totally awesome in their own way. At first I thought it was totally linear but I was proven wrong. You explore the map, learn new skills and solve logical little tasks to get ahead. I like the game and am excited when the game comes to the full version. What I don't like is dying and having to start over :D
