Abiotic Factor is a survival crafting experience for 1-6 players set in the depths of an underground research facility. Caught between paranormal containment failure, a military crusade, and chaos from a dozen realms, the world’s greatest minds must survive against the universe’s biggest threats.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 30/day in the week to Sep 1 → 34.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Home to the world's greatest minds, GATE operates a global network of secretive research laboratories, spanning every field of scientific study - and the realms beyond.
As a GATE employee you extend the bounds of human knowledge, and seek to explain the unexplainable - including anomalies and paranormal entities: from gravity-distorting artifacts to supernatural creatures with an unbridled instinct for violence. Safety, security, and secrecy are of the utmost importance… usually.
After a catastrophic containment breach, your workplace has become a cosmic battle zone: anomalous entities are on the loose, enemies from other dimensions are invading via portals, and an arcane military sect - known as The Order - is targeting personnel and entities indiscriminately, aiming to seize artifacts and put an end to the chaos.
Containment procedures have failed and help isn’t on the way. Stranded miles beneath the surface, it’s up to you and your fellow scientists to band together, plan your escape, and make this underground complex your new home - for now.

Abiotic Factor brings a 90’s sci-fi twist and rich character progression to the multiplayer open world survival crafting genre. Up to 6 players can choose their PhDs, build their scientist, gear up, and explore a massive subterranean complex, filled with supernatural artifacts, transdimensional foes, and science experiments gone awry.

Between alien threats hunting their next meal, trigger happy soldiers, and the world’s most advanced robotic security forces attacking personnel working overtime, there’s no shortage of danger. As a scientist, fighting isn’t your forte, so you’ll need to put your PhD to work to outwit your opponents: craft ingenious and outlandish tools, weapons and gear, from simple nets and wooden bats to laser-cannons and elaborate traps - everything your big science brain can muster!

Make yourself at home - you’re here for the long haul. Scavenge resources from vacant offices and empty labs, raid vending machines, and steal company property to build a new base of operations as you explore the facility. When it’s time for a change of scenery, pack up your belongings and move them across the facility using handcarts, forklifts, SUVs, teleporters, and more.

Don your lab coat and earn your PhD: from Phytogenetic Botanist to Defense Analyst and Archotechnic Consultant (and many, many more), each with its own advantages essential to survival. Combine traits and skills, then level up to earn perks and abilities with your fellow scientists to forge a formidable scientific force.

Working at GATE may have been a dream job, but dying here wasn’t part of your five year plan. Explore this massive underground facility as well as many worlds beyond and take full advantage of the most advanced technology unknown to mankind in this interdimensional sci-fi adventure!

i like it in here for the first time in the long time i feel like i'm like i'm right where i'm supposed to be
runs well for an unreal engine game, you do have to tweak some settings and run the version "for lower end PCs" even on pretty modern hardware or else you'll get frequent crashes (this isnt just a me-thing, it happens with my friend, too) tons of content without being overwhelming, and solid character customisation. it's very satisfying to get yourself established, and the game is full of little Tricks and Tidbits you can learn if you're attentive (though you'll get the occasional thing that you gotta look in the wiki for). and theres room for every play style in a team (though some folks may want the heads up that for single-player you cant really avoid having some way of doing combat, especially late-game) the story-progression side of things is Alright. the ending was kinda ♥♥♥♥♥ tbh, the boss was a slog that did no damage but drained the hell out of your ammo and durability, so theres a lot of leaving mid-fight to replenish ammo and durability. i think ammo quanitity and durability should be generally more abundant all around, even just by a little bit. pretty much all the important plot threads were left unanswered and unresolved, which isn't always a bad thing, but felt pretty ass here. i get the feeling they did this on purpose for future dlcs, which like, idk. day-to-day, the writing is funny, and interesting. it's not a particularly life changing narrative, but you can't expect every game to be disco elysium, y'know? i'd advise against the game if you're Only In It for the story, but its a fun bonus if you're moreso in it for the gameplay, i mentioned the character customisation before, but when combined with the base building, multiplayer, and equipment variety, there's a ton of replayability here, and i'm fully intending on doing more playthroughs with friends. overall, highly recommend for survival sandbox fans. it has phenomenal multiplayer and is definitely best with a group, but i had plenty of fun playing solo, too. the story side of things might leave you a little underwhelmed, but it ain't terrible by any means. ps theres also a fantastic furry mod (cackle factor) if youre a freak like me

I really loved the game until after reactors (about 150h in it was for me). Everything beyond that point was utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Would've hit thumbs up if this game didn't have so high rating, which is NOT deserved, 85% would suit it better.
I really enjoy the game so far. It feels like a mash-up of Half-Life and Project Zomboid and it works really, really well. There is just so many things to craft, combine, try and use. We have a variety of skills that we can level up, sorted in three main categories: Fitness, Combat and Survival. Depending on your preferences you can level them up easily to gain bonus perks along the way. I really like how it combines survival, crafting, a very nice and in-depth story with an overall decent pacing. Just like in Half-Life, you clear some area and end up opening some door, just for you to be somewhere where you've been before, wondering what would be behind that door. There is only one minor point of critique for me: I sometimes wish the quest marker/objective would be adressed a bit more direct. For example, I was really confused when
the game told me to find someone who knew of power cells
and just kept running around in circles for some time. What suprises me is that while I don't even meet the minimum requirements, I get an avg of 50 fps. It's actually putting the bar pretty high up. You absolutely should give this a try!
I am curently half way tru the reactor sector and i am sad that i am so close to the end of the game
This is what gaming should be. It's easily one of the best games put out in the last 20 years, and will only get better with time. I beg the dev team to open the gates with modding tools eventually, as this game has the strength to be the next Terraria or Rimworld in terms of mod community, if it was easier to work with.
Построил турбо туалет для телепортации фекалий пришельцев в другой мир. Игра понравилась!
SUPER FUN SO FAR runs flawlessly on arch linux just unlocked the hacking machine and its been a blast
I rarely write reviews, but this game absolutely deserves one. Oh, I just adore this game. Tons of secrets, SCP-like, and survival. I’ve completed a playthrough on Apocalyptic difficulty after 133 hours, and I’m still playing. 10/10
this game is super duper fun. its wacky, creepy, and exciting. feels like a true love letter to half life while still being entirely its own thing. the story is actually really deep, and the lore around all the I.S. is interesting for a nerdy person like me.
