I love it! This is a pure skill game. The controls are tight enough, where you can only blame yourself for mistakes. This starts where Mario Sunshine Secret Courses leaves off. This needs to be expanded upon. I got this game after seeing it today on reddit btw.
A tower's will is a foddian game where your ball is constantly jumping, and you have to move it through the obstacle. The fall are fair and if you keep moving and remember the part below you, you shouldn't lose that much progress when falling. The game utilise moving and rotating in multiple different way to make the level design continue being interesting the more you progress.
I can’t remember the last time my hands got this sweaty in such a short time. A Tower’s Will is hard!!! A platformer that feels like it came straight from hell. You control a bouncing ball with the goal of climbing a tower—a concept that seems simple but turns out to be incredibly challenging, with progressively tougher obstacles. However, it never feels unfair. The level design keeps you hooked, and every little bit of progress feels rewarding.. I haven’t reached the top yet (only God knows why XD), but I can’t wait to get there. Keep jumping!
"If you like shiny balls jumping on platforms and starting all over again when you fail, this ones for you! Smooth gameplay, graphics are clean. Music is irritating.
Amazingly satisfying -yet sometimes infuriating- game. The ball controls very well and all that's between you and the top is your skill in handling each obstacle. A lot of the obstacles are moving platforms/walls/pistons and they will require your sense of timing, accuracy and quick thinking to overcome. I never fell back down fully onto the ground floor, there is pretty much always a previous part of the route to fall back on to, making sure you are aware of your surroundings for when you might fall is a useful tool. The game took me just under 10 hours to finish, but times may very depending on your particular set of skills and luck. A 2nd clear after gaining all the experience from the first took me only 30 minutes and I'm pretty sure it can be done in half that time if all goes well. The music/atmosphere is sublime, the writing is interesting and funny. And though the tower has many lines to entertain you... if you take 10 hours to beat the game like I did, the tower WILL run out of lines and just start to recycle old ones. In the end I stopped looking/reading all the commentary the tower was making about my progress. Sound design is very well done, the ball sounds *cling* just right with the speed and hardness you touch the surfaces as you bounce or stick to them. Graphics-wise the game looks very pretty, the color tone of the tower shifts with the emotion of the tower and everything has this very clean gold look to it. The game had some issues for me for having 2 monitors, but the developer is very active and swooped right in with an update the very next day. Very nice! DO RECOMMEND! <3
An unique and interesting platformer with great atmosphere. It's uniqueness comes from the fact that the ball jumps automatically and you, as the player, only control the ball's direction. You might think that controlling the ball will be difficult, but the controls are very responsive. The game itself is hard and people who like a challenge will enjoy it. I certainly do and have a lot of fun with it. I get an adrenaline rush when I'm about to take a jump and stare down to see how long I will fall if I don't make it. Haven't had this feeling in a while! There's also a story but I'm at 1/3 of the game so I can't say anything yet, but the gameplay had me hooked. The challenges are good and I always want to rush forward and make shortcuts. Don't do it because you will fall a lot.. The game does have it's rough edges, sometimes it's not intuitive where to go and it can be disorientating. At times you will fail because there's no way for you, as the player, to know what's ahead, which can be kind of irritating.. That being said, A Tower's Will get's a thumps up from me, it's fun, interesting and challenging.
very fun game wanna look at the movement code myself cuz damn did heesh do a good job. you have fine movement in air but also fun momentum mechanics. streamed the game on discord with some old friends and not five ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ seconds in michel says, "oh that looks fun what game is it?" "a towers something... ah. A towers will" And five minutes later he has already bought it and is playing it with me as we are discussing it. so yeah your welcome heesh, I am solely responsible for two sails in a day, ur welcome. I want a $2 commission. at 350 after around 2 hours of actuall play time I leave games open in the background and it's a problem) really fun game. makes me think about how I shouldn't stress about my creations when some one can push a product like this out with it's quality of assets (not an insult) being mediocore/derivative. what I mean is I stress way to much about the overall quality of my games and project and making them perfect when... bro... it aint that deep. plz add pause on loss of focus! I have had some stupid falls from voicemeter and other programs who have occational pop ups (and it was really insulting when I got an achevmet for like anoying the tower when the game dropped all my inputs for five seconds because something grabbed focus for a milisecond) if not I get it, you gotta prioratize other things, life is busy.
I'm enjoying it
It's a fun and extremely challenging game. In order to proceed - you'll have to fall. It can be a bit frustrating when you fall and have a major setback but if you're playing this game then you know that you should expect that. In fact, in order to progress the story then falling is almost required. The game is unique in that it gives an immersive story to a game that is otherwise about simply climbing a tower. I've only played it for a couple of hours so far, so I haven't gotten quite the gist of the story but I am curious to see more. Fun, challenging, and merciless. Definitely a recommend for anyone who is a fan of climbing games and enjoys a difficult challenge.
Very addictive. I like how you have a good chance to limit the loss from a fall (which I do a lot).
