Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Sep 2 → 1.86/day in the week after.

Reviews
One of the most enjoyable Total War game. Buy it, when it is in sale.
В кратце: лучше Трои и Троецарствия - факт, лучшая настройка (отзывчевость, без тупнякоа в 300 кликов) на команды отрядов, у Аттилы в этом дела на много хуже). В общем всем фанам тотал варов - рекомендую.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 16 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Glad I bought on sale, not worth £30. At the time of writing, it's an 8 year old game and a smaller "Saga" one at that, not a full TW game. (This is the future publishers and PlayStation want, btw). As for gameplay, I don't know who thought it would be a fun experience for the AI to just hop from one minor, undefended, garrison-less settlement to another, eternally slightly outside of player army movement range, but it's not. And all the religious building trees are Christian, which makes playing as a Viking somewhat nonsensical and utterly unsatisfying. Two of the campaign objectives have multiple sub-objectives for building Christian churches/monasteries/sites. And there are precisely 0 for sacking or raiding. Like... What? Surely it couldn't have been hard to have a single tier alternate building chain where you loot a monastery which gives you a one-time large cash prize, then a passive public order/fame buff from the ruins? Or for converting monastery capital settlements into pagan fortresses? Just weird.
Einfach geiles Setting! Ich spiele schon seit vielen Jahren so richtig kam ich mit Shogun2 rein. Absolut zu empfehlen!
Pretty fun game if you like the last kingdom or Vikings tv shows. Can be a bit annoying to lose a settlement because most don't have a garrison apart from major settlements but there is a few mods that fix that.
very fun im a big fan of the sarvations keeps you not from side swiping everyone and allows for the true "feels big really isnt" kinda gameplay i love not for everyone though
Very good for Co-op VS
So I held off on this for a LONG time mostly because of the bad reviews and because I was sort of "Vikinged out." Man for a while there you couldn't turn on a screen without seeing some vikings **** on it. So for a long time this was the ONLY Total War game i didnt own. Now having marathoned The Last Kingdom and having a meh, its ok time with the Viking Age mod for Attila, I figured Id give ToB a go. And WOW is it great. Its hard, playing more recent TW games, to remember all the cool stuff they had started tossing into these games but yeah there was a lot of interesting and connected mechanics in ToB. I wish there were agents but all the other stuff... very cool. Man I miss the hey day of TW. Here's hoping M3 and 40k blow us all away.
30 turns in after carving out a decent start and turning to building up my economy, my heir demands all of my farm estates and rebels if I don't give in causing a civil war. Who made this system? Feels like they couldn't balance not having massive 1000+ soldiers guarding each farm settlement so they needed to have your empire built on paper cards.
