Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.86/day in the week to Sep 11 → 13.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Leave the noise of the world behind and step into the quiet, rhythmic life of a woodsman. A Game About Chopping Trees is a meditative experience designed for players who find peace in simple, satisfying tasks, all wrapped in a calm and relaxing atmosphere with no timers, no pressure, and no stress. At its core, this is a game about the pure satisfaction of chopping trees.
When it's time to move on to a new stretch of woodland, hop aboard your trusty handcar. Pump the levers and glide along the rails through serene, peaceful landscapes. The journey between forests is just as relaxing as the work itself. Simple. Satisfying. Entirely at your own pace.
Enjoy the satisfying crack of timber as towering trees split and fall beneath your steady hand. As you make your way through the forest, invest your earnings to improve your chopping skills with upgrades such as a sharper ax, a stronger swing, and more efficient techniques that make every session feel even more rewarding.
The forest is a living cycle, and you can help it thrive. After clearing an area, take a moment to give back by planting new saplings in the spaces you've created. Watch your efforts take root as tiny sprouts gradually grow into towering trees once again. This gentle cycle of reforestation keeps the woodland lush and vibrant, allowing you to shape and nurture your own ever-changing forest.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME. I LOVED EVERY SECOND. THE ONLY BAD THING IS HOW SHORT IT IS... I WISH THERE WAS LIKE 3 NEW BIOMES OR SO... I REALLY RECOMEND THIS GAME
The game would have been better if it allowed players to use their money for building world features, such as town upgrades. A few things that don't make any sense are why you would add a new game plus and not warn players before allowing players to choose it; it's just dumb, and why did I destroy a ship? What was the point, and it only takes one shot, really!? The world is too small; the game has a good concept, it's just really lacking. I feel the game could have been way better if only the game allowed players to do things with their house and offered more upgrades besides just basic character upgrades. Allow players to buy houses with a vault room to show how rich players get; let me do more things with the money. Once again it just feels like the dev got tired or lazy and quickly wrapped up the game without adding any type of meaningful endgame content. This game functions similarly to Raft; it allows players to unlock cool upgrades and technology, but once you reach the endgame, there is nothing to do. There's no big optional goal to try to reach.

A beautiful and relaxing game, but it needs more content! Add animals, fishing, hiking, cabin building, and more...
I can't recommend it. The tree chopping felt very slow and not at all satisfying with the very limited stamina, and the upgrades felt like they basically didn't improve anything. I could have accepted that if there was actually more gameplay, like interesting tree variants, replanting, or constructing things with the planks, but when the fundamental basis of the game is just chopping trees and that isn't made into an enjoyable gameplay loop, it's a problem.
Hello! I really enjoyed your game! I had a wonderful 20 hours playing it. Since I got this game as a stress reliever, I set some restrictions for myself, for example: I only used an axe; after clearing an area, I planted forests manually to my liking; hung out with the huskies, and enjoyed the views. Everything was great. I even visited a secret location and met an Ent. Hahaha. But I don't like the idea of killing him, just like I don't like the idea of sinking a ship. So I didn't do that in my playthrough. There was only one thing that upset me, and it was very upsetting. At the end of the game, after the hero lights the beacon, they show stats... In my case, there weren't any! All the stats were zero! I was so taken aback that I didn't even take a screenshot. I'm upset because I planted three forests but still don't know how many trees were needed.... Can I see the stats for my save?
Nice game for a 100%. Nice music and nice atmosphere.
Look, game is pretty, I want to wander around in it, I want to see it. Except, it has this...♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stamina system. The devs claim "it provides an additional feeling of progression and development in our opinion." Out here in reality land, I chopped down ONE tree, was out of stamina, sold the two logs from that one tree for $20, and lost $5 to stamina regeneration. A QUARTER of my profit is being taken away...because. What an absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ atrocious design choice. The only additional feeling I got out of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stamina system? The feeling of clicking that sweet sweet refund button. This game is blatant false advertising. It isn't "A Game About Chopping Trees." It is "A Game About Wasting Time Walking Back to Restore Your Stamina Instead of Chopping Trees."
Fun game, the first time around. After the first reset there is virtually nothing to do and no end game reward or prestige for clearing the forest a 2nd, 3rd, .... time. Glad it's getting regular updates and willing to give it more time. I will be updating the review as the updates come along but hoping this game doesn't progress like Scrap Mechanic did and have a strong start and fade out. TLDR: Fun for the first time experience, very repetitive, and after the first go around the fun instantly flatlines. Will post updates to this review as more updates come along as it's unrefined at the moment.
