In 54 minutes I got 100% of achievements and #5 on the leaderboard. I'm pretty sure I've seen all there is to see in the game. There's only one objective - build enough parks to get enough points for Grandmaster rank by the end of the round. There's no replayability - only one map, only one objective, only one way to achieve it. In addition, the controls are awful - you'll spend more time clicking through the horrible build menus than making strategic decisions. I don't understand why the game was sold for money like this. This is a minimum viable product. A single vertical slice. A prototype you take to a publisher so that you can ask for more money to make it into something greater. It feels like there's a lot of potential behind these gameplay mechanics, but they go completely unexplored.
A clever concept, but the game only has 1 map and the challenge gets easy/repetitive pretty quick. Once you work out the formula each play is roughly the same (score really only depends on how fast you can click) Some issues to note/be improved : - You cant drag roads, each tile has to be placed 1 by 1 - Scanline are enabled by default, not sure what this adds - The game needs a random map generator - There is no reason to build any park except the biggest one - It is unclear how far workers will travel to work - The UI is garbage, the game needs hotkeys/a better build menu - Please add some sort of data overlay/graph feature For the price its a good hour of fun, but without some updates/extra content it isn't a game you would play twice Hopefully in a few months and a few updates I can change this to a positive review!
I was plain gobsmacked to find out there's only ONE level... I am all for such cute little "coffee break" games but this one consists of 10 micro-tutorials (roughly 10 seconds each i guess?) and one map. Replayability is therefore near zero. Pity!!!
The UI is awful and my main complaint. The gameplay is incredibly shallow. The idea is intriguing but the execution is poor.
This seemed great on the surface. Build a city, beat a high score, sadly that's also all it is. There's only 1 map so you're stuck playing the same level over and over. Unless you're massively into min-maxing you'll be done in 1 maybe 2 rounds. It's nice as an itch.io proof of concept maybe, but not something I'd expect on Steam. I requested a refund.
Strips away all of the joy of a city builder and turns it into a single optimization problem. More of a puzzle game than a builder. The interface tries to get away with being charmingly bad, but instead achieves just bad. I like to root for little devs, but please don't tell me you've made a city builder when you've made a single city-themed puzzle.
-would give a neutral if i can. -the game playgame is too simple, so 20mins is a time limit to make you feel less repetitive -you are are interested in this, you should take a look at a very similar, but better( and more expensive) game like blockhood -for its price, its not too bad, but i just dont want to spend my second '20mins' in this game...
A really fun and surprisingly challenging city builder where you try to amass as many points as you can in 20 minutes. It's not super complex and there only seems to be one pre-set map but for under $3, this is well worth the price of admission. Hoping this gets the attention it deserves, and would love to see more maps and modes in the future!
