The game is very, very, VERY rudimentary. It's not exactly bad. But it's something a young, first-time game maker might produce. I have a friend with a 14-year-old son who is into games, and maybe into programming games. If he showed me this as his new project, I'd fawn praise on it. But as a released Steam game? Not great.
I am not quite so sure why the reception for this game was so mixed and so small. I know this genre is known for being fairly difficult at times. But the more I see and play of it. This is more or less a HALLMARK entry to this genre of game. The music and visual's will have you in all of the nostalgia feels. The rpg and roguelike mechanics are very strong. The effects are classic but smooth as yo mommas butt. Try it especially at its current price the value is S+ tier. I can only hope this developer was not disheartened or disillusioned with the industry after this entry. They have promise and talent.

One of the worst games I've ever played, would rather piss my money away on gerbils.
fun! easy to learn but takes a bit of thought to play!
OHMYGOD! This is a masterpiece for what it's worth. I couldn't beat it. I couldn't get to the end no matter how many times I tried and/or died. Monsters are relentless and so is your constantly draining Exhaustion. Mechanics aren't quite explained as you're thrust into this epic quest where each day you don't beat the game, a child is sacrificed to summon an insurmountable demon. Die or flee too many times and the demon is wrought upon the world, making you his first kill. Win the game in 7 days, however, and you prevent the ritual and save the world + all the innocents. Finally... just now... I played all the way to the end without any real troubles and sent those cultists straight to Hell. I have to say this feeling is so good and I don't get it from any other games I'm playing ATM. Like beating Ornstein and Smough on your own for the first time kind of feeling (without stun-locking obvi). Customization/Re-playability: LOTS Story: Just Enough Playtime: I beat my first run, no deaths, no flees, no children lost in 1 hr 16 min Warrior -> Legendary Weapon Bane -> Earth magic (for the passives) -> Longbow -> Magic Book (Holy)(for Healing) -> ALL POINTS INTO DODGE I even got to Rank 10 Transmutation and 3 Earth Affinity for the Iron Golem spell but honestly I never remembered to use it </3 so all those points were essentially wasted lol at least I got the 10 Transmutation achievement.
There's a lack of polish in the game. The mechanics work "alright" I guess, but the game fails to make the UI easy to navigate, and the turn-based animations, while working, aren't that great. For 4€, you could pick this up, but I would just keep away tbh. No thank you.
I don't know how to describe it in a way that would make somebody want to buy it. That being said, I'm really enjoying the challenge of beating the game in the shortest amount of time possible (7 days) which I have been unable to accomplish so far. The game seems simple at first but you really have to read the combat logs and the stats to understand where to spend your experience.
I'm not so sure why this game got such mixed reviews. I love it. There is a many ways to customize your character and distribute your experience. I like the graphics and it is a great way for new comers to get into roguelikes. Easy to pick up tough to master.

[th]RANK[/th] [th]COMMENT[/th]

TOTAL: 32% a very mediocre game... Nothing much to see here. I was disappointed. The style was promising and the atmosphere (intro, only music, etc) seemed nice. But very basic and repetitive. A smartphone game, and not great with that. If that team puts more effort into a deeper game with more gameplay it could be interesting, they have taste I am sure. It says Google Play on the main menu and I do indeed understand how it looks a lot like a simple smartphone game... too bad.
1Quest is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam by mobile devs as a cheap cash grab. It's a mobile ported rogue-like RPG dungeon crawler with retro pixel graphics. Choose from a small number of different races and 4 classes, collect loot to upgrade your gear and spend XP on stats and skills to help you progress on the main quest to rescue children from an evil cult. While a little bit of effort went into the game, it does feel like a mobile port. Fixed resolution and ugly retro pixel graphics make the game impossible to recommend, and this isn't the best roguelike out there either. For the same $4 USD you can get much better PC based RPGs (even Skyrim can be cheaper than this on sale!). Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to screw over PC gamers. On Steam, this costs $1 more than it does on the app stores. Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a crappy bundle worsening mobile game so they can pretend their gaming rigs are iPhones. This is insulting to PC gamers, and not acceptable.
