Even at the lowest setting the AI is unfair. The luck it has in recruitment, movement and combat - especially in critical situations - is absurd.
I've played several times and never the same result or strategies (even by the computer). Looking forward to gaming against humans.
Linux user: the game ran smooth for me, and I didn't see any bugs. Very happy with this purchase; hoping they come out with the digital version of 878: Vikings next.
For what it is this game is not worth $25. It is good at its basic intent despite the clunkiness. A board game that was made into a digital form. For that its base value would sit at $5. But that isn't why I don't recommend it. While playing I realized achievements are completely broken. I don't know why, but the developers don't seem to care about such a serious flaw in their product. I sent in a ticket with support, with clear evidence demonstrating this, and never got a human reply back. For a $25 this is UNACCEPTABLE and the developers should be ashamed. It is hard to understand why they do not fix it, since the sister game 1812:Invasion of Canada does have working achievements. In the end I have yeeted this game from my library. I will be keeping the other and putting it through its paces.
trash game
Graficznie bieda, no ale to planszówka. Inaczej lepiej to przemilczeć i ominąć.
This game is different from most of HexWars games. Perhaps in the early days they tried different things. Anyway, this game is similar to RISK, in that you have a certain number of armies with which you will fight your enemies to see if you can control more areas of land than your foe. There are four different scenarios. Highly recommend.
there are many errors in the game, the achievements do not open
plays well, fun. More beer and pretzels...reminds of A and A
I have had this game on my old tablet as well as the original board game. It is very enjoyable and well worth the money. Each game is unpredictable which makes me not become bored with the game. The game is well worth it when you feel the need to play a strategy game but one that will not take you too long.
