About
Entities known as The Originals have lived for centuries, granted time, granted power, and the freedom to abuse both. That power is now owed.
Noa Brooklyn was born The Collector, raised by the Zaindaris for a purpose she did not choose: taking that power back.
Explore a handcrafted Amsterdam by day. At night, uncover what lies beneath its surface. Every facade carries a gablestone. Not all of them tell the truth.
The Originals walk among Amsterdam’s citizens, hidden behind human faces. Identify them. Mark them. When the Esbat comes, confront them in their true form under the moon. Collect what is owed.
Noa commands witchcraft and spellcasting passed down through generations of Zaindaris. Each target can be approached in multiple ways. Strategy, timing, and choice define the outcome. Every Esbat is a reckoning.
Noa is not alone. Aaron, summoned from 1999, now sees the world through the eyes of a cat. Together, they are one: Switch between Noa and Aaron across two radically different playstyles. One wields witchcraft. The other has four paws and flair.

molto bello
But I would wait. The game is fun to play for a while, but it is very rough around the edges. It has good potential, and I don't regret buying it, but some parts of the game still need some more development, such as the combat and the detection/stealth system. Some suggestions from me would be an ability to escape from combat, some way to quickly use magic in combat, and rituals in some form(Maybe for buffs or to affect the area to your advantage.)
Honestly, making it past the first two hours it starts to get better. Yes I agree with a lot of posts that the combat is janky and needs some polishing, found that if you go into the settings and turn on the camera follow for locked on enemies it makes it more tolerable, especially for the boss fights. They also need to make it more smooth with casting spells and have ones that are more reliable. The fact that you have to be in what I call "witch mode" makes it not worth using magic. You literally gather attention so fast and it doesn't feel right that the NPCs are literally there cursing sorcery throughout the game then watch magic and react with...........nothing. Heck fly past the guards super fast and little reaction. I wish it was more clear with the directions (such as if you possess someone you can bring Noa along and avoid detection as long as they are connected). You can get more items as you progress that adds to the combat but honestly, the base level of combat should be fixed and its annoying that it has a touch of "Dark Souls" with you loose the things you pick up if you die. Lore is amazing and definitely hooks you in. It is extremely well written from the story side of things and you can tell a lot of time and effort went into it. That being said they need to either make things easier for finding things or make it so that Noa who can sense the Originals, can't magically sense anything else. That or make it so that when in cat mode you can sense things. That being said, cat mode is................well ok. Its weird how you can climb on roofs but the jumping and targeting for jumps needs smoothed out. Also, make sure you don't accidently go into cat mode while in combat as the game will glitch every time and you will have to backout to the menu to restart from last save. The game offers a lot of promise but it needs to fix a lot of things and rely less on AI for it. I get that its a small group of people working on this, but if you want a game to look and feel like a AAA game, then you need to hire more people and be ready to put the money into it.
