THIS WAS A GREAT GAME! Hopefully we will see more game created by you! The jump scares were some of the best I have seen. This is one of the best horror games I have played this year in 2024. See My full playthrough and witness me escape!! https://youtu.be/oWN2MyHhx50
It's 2D version of "Exit 8"
13F (2024) PC by Hushy (Chinese)
13F is an Exit 8 game, which in turn, a recent evolution to those spot the difference games that began in early print. The only difference being that instead of simply spotting the differences between two pictures, now your required to spot the sly differences between two nearly identical game levels. In 13F, you are an employee on the 13th floor of a building and over worked, madly typing like your Jerry Lewis in the Typewriter song. Building management has noted that overstretched workers often hallucinate and inform you via bulletin that it is your responsibility to safely navigate your way to the first floor avoiding any harmful variation from normal floor plans you stumble across in subsequent floors below. If you discover an anomaly, you are encouraged to make your way back upstairs to progress downward and if you see no anomaly on a floor, then your expected to make your way downstairs as normal. It is imperative that you take note that the instruction is to go UPSTAIRS if you see an anomaly and not to simply go left. The reason for this, is that sometimes the stair wells themselves can be the anomaly and their positions are switched, or some floors can have 2 upstairs, especially where the anomalies you come across, require you to have quick reflexes to avoid danger. There are 35 anomalies to discover in total and these are kept track of in game thanks to a page with a building that has 35 windows needing to be lit. One window per anomaly found. This page also has 6 special achievement windows that turn purple when the special achievements are discovered and then decorative in game items are also added as rewards. The only problem is that finding an anomaly does not erase it from the pool and the anomaly that you need to complete your found collection, may indeed take a while before it is added to your run again. Only anomalies discovered in completed runs where you manage to get to safety and exit the building are registered as discovered. Anomalies that you find on a run where you are either killed or fail to spot one, are always reset as not completed. The special achievements can also stump players. They involve returning a rabbit doll to a crying girl, trying to use a working elevator, taking less than 5 minutes and more than 10 minutes to complete the game and physically patting the cat on every level as you descend. In final, A 2D exit 8 hand drawn clone where the objective is to make it to the safety of the first floor and exit the building. Normal floor plan is demonstrated on floor 13 and thereafter once you have gone downstairs you must look out for deviations from the original floor plan. There are 35 in total. Some are obvious and require you to perform various tasks to survive the encounters, others are very, very subtle. The anomaly known as the Gnathosaur I personally found it to be inconsistent with its attack when coming across it and often left me vexed in frustration. Then there were cheeky anomalies that were not obvious unless clicked, like the Bulletin note being changed on the odd occasion. Eventually though you will become an expert and aware of where the 35 anomalies can pop up and then the game will then have limited replay value. None of the head ripping ghosts, the skeletal charging aliens, or the murderous mental patients posing as security guards will ever get to kill you, because you will be ready for them. PS: The cat seems to weirdly not be bothered by insecticide to the face… https://youtu.be/qT5faTx0iok?si=HKC5WCNMV52nNPKW My Reviews: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/6843548/ My Zombie Wiki Discord: https://discord.gg/cCCA44f
I love this game but I hate it! I can't stop playing yet I can't make any progress! WHAT AM I MISSING?! I can't stop thinking about it. Beautiful to look at and genuinely creepy and jumpy in places but there are some subtleties that I just can't catch. Do yourself a favour. For the price of a coffee, get this game. It will last you longer and by god I hope PixelCat can make more! I have recorded two videos of a play through of this and my decent into madness is evident...
