Aesthetics is great, but the "♥♥♥♥ raising mechanic" is absolutely unnecessary. (When I asked the google how to raise the ♥♥♥♥ in 12 better than 6 it was started to talk about how to get an erection :D). Without this ♥♥♥♥ raising, that would be a decent game.
The idea is good, the execution is terrible. The game is all about limited ammo, stealing weapons from fallen enemies to deal with reinforcements, manualy reloading weapons and cocking them by spamming mouse clicks after each shot to circle the chambers. The problem is that you die in one hit and the enemies hit you from range beyond your screen, there is a mechanic to sloooooowly expand your vision by holding the shift key but it is so slow and cumbersome that by the time you check a screen and 1/5th in front of you someone gets you from behind or from the side. Weapons keep dropping on your feet but most of them only have a few shots in them and it is really annoying that you are stepping on a carpet of fallen weapons but can't use the ammo with the current same gun type. The ammo count is also hard to understand 0/12 sometimes means you have 6 shots left at times while 0/2 on shotgun means you have 2 shots, I have trouble understanding how many bullets I have left and your single weapon and ammo count carry on from level to level. That means there have been a lot of times I started the level with one bullet while being rushed by 4 to 5 enemies with more rushing in after being alarmed by the sound of my first gunshot. That wouldn't have been so bad if the weapon pick up mechanic worked as intended, but it is buggy as hell, sometimes you pick the weapon instantly with a single E press, other times you have to keep holding it while being static for 6 seconds with a swarm of enemies that can kill you in one shot rushing you from all sides. The story is plain as well, a Mexican prisoner escapes, going around threatening and killing every white man (♥♥♥♥♥♥) he comes across while they too keep cursing at him and being rude for no reason for him being a Mexican as he holds them on gunpoint.... There are 4 or 5 guns available but you will only use the riffle that has long range, damage and a big clip with a medium ammo reserve, compared to a slow pistol, silent bow, 2 shot shotgun and a knife for melee kills, also dynamite you use as a grenade. All in all the game looks fine graphically but the mechanics are terribly implimented and the gameplay ends up being more frustrating than enjoyable. Especially since there are no checkpoints in this enemy swarm, instakill, no ammo, one shot death, out of bounds snipping game.

I did get this game for free on a special offer and thought it is one of those unpolished games they give for free every now and then but it is a decent game to my surprise. The art style is nice as well as the music. The mechanics are a bit janky and the settings menu isn't the best (you have to repeatedly enter settings tab to change more than 1 setting), not to mention the game is very repetitive and not immersive. It is the sort of game you play once and that's it, I did also skip most of the dialogues. I would not recommend you buy the game at all. I am only leaving a positive review for those who have the game already in the library and wondering if it is worth trying. It is just a top-down tactical shooter with janky mechanics and decent art and music. You can finish the story in about 4-5 hours, most of the achievements will be unlocked automatically (overall an easy game but last few levels are a bit frustrating).
Great game, I love the system of reloading and looting weapons. I would for sure recomand this game as a stealth/rushing game depending of your play style
