100 Camp Cats

[H1]More achievements than gameplay, again[/H1] One single image, one level, and about 3 minutes later it’s already over. After [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/3789580/100_Ruin_Cats/?curator_clanid=45639970]100 Ruin Cats[/url], I didn’t think a hidden cat game could disappoint me more in terms of length, but here we are. Over 2 $ CAD for roughly 3 minutes of gameplay is hard to justify, especially when the same out-of-place town level bug from [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/3789670/100_Witch_Cats/?curator_clanid=45639970]100 Witch Cats[/url] is still there, untouched, months after being flagged. Mechanically, it’s the usual setup. Great zoom, color and black & white modes, brightness options, and hints you’ll never need. Color adds a tiny bit of difficulty, but the game is still extremely easy, and a majority of the cats barely look like cats. Achievements are plentiful, which achievement hunters will enjoy, but for everyone else it just underlines how little there is to do. The real issue is value and effort. This feels like another one-level release, accidentally padded with a fake second level, and left without post-launch fixes. There’s simply no good reason to spend money here when better hidden cat games respect both your time and your wallet. I've played dozens of games in the find-the-cats genre, but I did not enjoy this one. It's just clicking evenly-spaced-out, obvious cat blobs. This is the most disappointing one I've played. 100_Cozy_Games has a lot of games, so I won't bother trying the rest, because this one was a waste of even a dollar or two. It was lacking compared to usual games in the genre and even their free one, 100 Romantic Cats. There are many similar games made with Unity that have been done better. This one might be better for younger ages than some other find-the-cats games. That's the only thing I can really say might appeal to anyone.

Did't read the reviews first and regret it. There is literally just one level where you have to find 100 cats and each cat you find is an achievement. You can finish in a couple minutes and then thats the end of the entire game. No more levels. Not worth it to me, but then again, I spent like 2 dollars.

Not what I was expecting: Quality vs Quantity Limited Content Steam Achievements annoying.

The 100 Cozy games team is clearly still trying to find the happy medium between hiding "cats" in the game and having it be easy to find them or having it be so impossible to find anything that looks vaguely reminiscent of a cat but supposedly is. While 100 Camp Cats is on the easy end with decent art, they still haven't found their sweet spot yet. 4/10

[h3] [b] 100 CAMP CATS [/b] [/h3] 100 Camp Cats is a relaxing hidden object game that offers a very positive experience. It is not a game where you need to overthink or solve complicated challenges; instead, you can simply enjoy searching for the hidden cats and decompress after a long day. Some cats are cleverly hidden, making the discovery process enjoyable, while the hint system is there to help whenever you cannot find one. The artwork and music fits together nicely and create a cozy atmosphere. Overall, it is a charming and calming game that offers a pleasant way to relax.
